The polishing pad supplied with the PC....

Is it good for anything? In other words, can it be used in place of a normal pad(Sonus, LC, Propel, etc)? If so, is it really considered a polishing pad, or is it rougher and more of a cutter? I searched, but as you can imagine, that combination of words yielded 25 pages. Can you tell I just picked up my PC? :P

Don't bother using that pad. It's good for nothing. I've had my PC for well over a year now, and I still have the factory white pad sealed in the original packaging.

Get a pad kit from a reputable manufacturer. I like the Propel pads from www.exceldetail.com

Thanks Paul. I'm already on the Propel pads:) I had a feeling that pad was worthless, but thought I'd ask anyway. Thank you again!

But then you have to remove your BP, and put that one on...........I actually cut mine up into little pieces and use a piece for a cushion for my XM radio....lol

Yes I would recommend those gray finishing pads for applying Z2/Z5. The white pad that come with the PC is too aggressive IMO for applying LSPs. From what I've heard, it will also fall apart soon after you start using it. And as it falls apart, it leaves lots of foam dust flying around.

Also in the box unused here to, I order my DAS and SF kits at the same time so never had any need for it.

are the Lake Country pads the ones you're referring to?

just wondering because i just bought a PC and it should be here today, and i want to detail my car this weekend, and it came with a set of Lake Country pads.

No he's referring to the original white polishing pad that is supplied with the PC when you order it by itself or buy it in a store. If you bought yours online with a pad kit, it may or may not include this white pad.
