The Perfect Light Polish

I was thinking today of the perfect light polish. It's more or less a toss up between AIO, VM, and PwC for me with light/final polishing. I think the perfect polish would have...

-The insanely wet look of VM
-The thicker consistency of PwC
-The LSP bonding properties of AIO

All are relatively easy to use to begin with. Anyone agree/disagree?

Clearkote, Poorboy's, Klasse ...ya listening :D ?

I gotta go with SSR1 or Pinnacle swirl remover.

The SSR1 has evrything you listed minus the thicker consistency.

I love AIO, but SSR1 will actually do some swirl removal while leaving IMO a wetter finish.

I use all three polishes (AIO, VM, PwC) for various situations. I agree with EBP's recommendation, SSR1 is the closest thing I've found to meeting your stated requirements. When I want the wet look of VM, but worry about LSP bonding, I reach for the SSR1. I find myself using AIO less and less these days. I use VM and PwC about as often as I use SSR1. I plan to try Menzerna FPII next (I've got a bottle coming next Monday with my latest PAC order :D).

Yeh I like the Menzerna as well :)

I have a sample of SSR1 here that I'll give a shot soon. I used it at the Poorboy's meet and was happy with the results, but it was only 1 use and I don't want to be biased for or against.

Thanks for the clarification...This was honestly more of a "Ahh, what if" thing, but turning into helpfulness. Thank you.

I like the look of SSR 1 as a final polish because of the clear wet look that can be achieved ... AIO actually seems to mute the look achieved with the SSR 1 ...
I have just started experimenting with 4* UPC and so far It seems to give the same look as SSR 1 without the swirl removal abilities, plus it is the perfect base for UPP.

Another vote for SSR1 here! In fact I just used it today to get rid of a film that wouldn't come off from a recent snow. It has just enough bite to get rid of the really fine marring I introduce when washing. I just stood back and gave myself a pat on the back. Damn, did it take long to work with a PC though.

Less is more. ;)

I've never used AIO, but I now use VM before my carnuaba topper. PwC (which I plan on ordering) seems to have a little more cutting and better protection(based on my sample) than VM, and is now designated to one-steps. I have a sample of SSR1 that I plan on trying sometime this break if the weather would stop raining. SSR1 seems to fit the bill for your requirements Sean. I would be interested in knowing your results with FPII, awd330, I've read mixed opinions about it on the forums.

SSR1 is my goto light polish. I'd like to try FPII but a combination of the difficulty of use with regular FP and the great results that i've been getting with SSR1 will lead me not to change any time soon...esp since I've got a nearly full gallon of SSR1 right now.

awd330.

I think you will find that FPII is a little different than SSR1 in terms
of the look. I find FPII gives off a super glossy look (especially with a rotary).
The closest comparo I can think of is looking at a freshly painted car before
the paint dries completely. Try it out with a rotary with polish pad, then
follow up with a finish pad, and the paint will just sparkle.

AudiOn19s.

FPII does have a bit of a learning curve, but not something to be afraid
of. FPII does not dry out as fast as FP, so it can be worked a little longer
and comes off much easier. Use up the ssr1, and then give FPII a try next
time. Definitely not SSR1, but I think once you try it out, you'll find
a place for it in your work.

GSRstilez.

Having seen your work, I don't think you will have any problems with SSR1.
In fact, you may find that the work goes a little quicker since it breaks down
faster and removes much easier.

I use both products, and I find that they offer different looks. Sometimes
for kicks and giggles, i go back to my experiment where I polish
pad with FPII, and then finish pad with ssr1. I still have not been able
to accurately describe the look, but it's really nice. On solid and pearl
whites (which I seem to be doing a lot of), it has a look you're staring
down into a glass of milk.
