The Passion Still Remains "All in the Family" car detailing

Big Lots has the generic yellow foam pads at 4/$1.00. Nothing outstanding about them, but they work and are cheap (hmmm ... sounds like me!)

BTW - my last order of Blitz wax from CMA *did* include an applicator pad shrink-wrapped to the can.

[/b]</blockquote>Kevin, it doesn't come that way from One Grand, CMA must do that themselves which is pretty cool I might add.

Dave C. - I was impressed that they included it in the order! I've ordered about $300 from CMA in detailing supplies, as well as a car cover, and have had outstanding service with each and every order ...

Maybe that's an idea for them - give out a free foam applicator for each $20 of products ordered. ;)

Around here, though, that may be dangerous ...

Kevin

P.S. I'm kicking myself for forgetting about the Autopian discount when I placed my $90 Blackfire/Blitz order ... :(

Kevin [/b]</blockquote>4/$1.00 ?? Where? I don't have a Big Lots near me (search tells me it's some type of store that sells wholesale stuff? Find a Big Lots Near You).

Any other sources for cheap foam applicators? I go through tons of these things . . . I have tried searching around online to buy them bulk but have not had much luck. HMMM.... Group buy? LOL

you guys must have had crappy blitz, because mine came with one!

in fact I remember you guys all telling me I was a fool for leaving it in there (it rotted remember?). I know I got one for a fact because for one I can't find foam sponges here and I've never ordered them before (when I first started using blitz)

Congrats Don, you just turned 3100 .

Perhaps either One Grand or CMA just started putting the wax applicators on the can? I doubt these members are mistaken about the packaging of their products.

I also haven't bought a can of Blitz in over a year and a half. Perhpas this foam thing in a can is a new idea. At any rate, you should NOT leave a foam pad in the Blitz container. Laters

Hard to say Vmaxima.

Most name brand ones are pretty good...

But once in a while you will find a cheapo that kinda falls apart after a few uses or has a hard edge kinda like where they pinch two halves together.

I probably confused ya more sorry.

I never heard of Big Lots before. Checked that search and there's one right around the corner from me. From the Yahoo map, it looks like its... ...well thats just north of Downyflake... ...HEY, Thats just a couple doors down from that "Gentlemen's Club."

Like my wife is going to believe I going there for the foam pads.:scared

Well, I do have to admit at 4/$1.00, I should really investigate this.

Vmaxima: I have used the Pinnacle foam applicators for years and never had any problems from them yet. Never noticed any damage or anything either. I can't stand to use rags or cloths or towels to APPLY wax to me those are only for buffing :)

I like using the the yellow foam applicators by Meguiars that dont soak up alot of Klasse during application.

cool. so i should make sure the pads i get don't have the hard edge where they are pressed together, and i'll be fine if i only plan on using them one time.

but i'm going to make sure i get one of the brands mentioned in this thread. thanks. i'm glad i joined this place.

Don't they all have the hard melted plastic edge? That thing makes me nervous . . . I tried cutting it off but the pad just fell apart :(.
