Todd@RUPES
Just a regular guy
... getting to detail one using the final beta versions of a brand new product!
"Todd, would you mind detailing this ultra-rare, prototype, pre-production 1966 427 Stingray roadster, which has NEVER been restored and still has original paint?"
Todd: "Hang on let me call my boss..."
Todd: "Boss, some guy wants me to detail this 1-of-1, only 450 hp documented, Corvette Stingray but I won't do it unless you let me use some the new (*@#$(*&(@$ products."
The conversation never happened, but this prototype Corvette does exist, it is in my driveway, and there is rumored to be a new products coming out soon!
Proof of the Corvette
The ultra rare (as in one) 427/450 horsepower L-somethingorother engine. This engine was ultimately dropped in favor of the famous Tri-Power 427/435hp engine (in 67) and later found its way into Chevelles and Corvettes as 454/450 (or 460) LS-6. Wonder what that is chilling on the original air cleaner?
Corvette afficanados might see the red-white tail lights, which are inncorrect for this year, and assume this is a 1965. This is a pre-production model which was finished along side the 1965's, but is titled as a 66.
Write-up coming soon!
