I am fairly new to detailing, most certainly new to high end details. I was wondering about Meguirs what makes it so great? I see the results in comparison to the turttle stuff etc... and I think Meguirs is awesome. How come?

HEllo

Im sorry i dont have your answer but you are in the right place to get your questions answered.

Welcome to DC. What line of turtle wax and what line of Meg's? I'm sure someone will be able to answer the question for you.

Welcome. In my personal experience, some Meg's products work well and some not so well. Don't think that there's only a couple of brands out there though....wait until the bug bites and you'll be buying all kind of stuff you'd never heard of until you came to DC. Haha!! :)

:welcome to DC!!

While I'm sure you will hear opinions on the merits of Meguiars vs Turtle products, I believe that the key is proper finish preparation. There's lots to read & learn here on DC :)

Welcome to DC ... Let the Fun Begin!
To try and answer your question ... it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Turtle wax makes most of their products to satisfy a large varied group of consumers. Meguiars, Poorboys, Four Star, Adams, Victoria Wax and many many others produce products to accomplish a specific purpose. Meguiars has been in business a long time and probably has the widest variety of polishes and waxes on the market. They offer complete systems that will take you from removing sanding scratches to producing a high gloss waxed finish. In some cases they are the best at what they do, in other cases some of the others are better. Everyone's technique is different as well as the paint on a vehicle varies greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer. There are a lot of variables. To answer your question, it boils down to personal preference and what you think works best for you. Keep reading the posts here and you will learn a lot (I have) but at the same time you will have even more questions. It is all part of the fun :)
