A long time ago, I used to live in Colorado. It gets cold there.
So, one time the streets were all slushy after a storm and you would have to use the windshield washers all the time. I was just about out of washer fluid so I added some water. Being on the ball I was afraid the straight water might freeze so I thought it would be a good idea to add a little antifreeze to the washer reservoir. I used Prestone antifreeze and didn't think about the fact that it was the "stop leak" variety. Totally plugged up all my washer lines and nozzles with stringy plastic stuff.
It's probably just as well that it plugged up the nozzles, who knows what the anitfreeze would have done to the paint. Doh!
