The Latest Car Wash Technique

My father in law used steel wool to get the fly shi.... of his car. He showed me how he got every nook and cranny with the steel wool. Thank god its white.
 
I was driving by my grandmothers and a neighbor down the street was washing his C5 Vette. He looked like he had a good mitt, prolly dish soap (which is okay i guess?), but didn't see a second bucket... :huh:
 
Not seeing a second (or third or fourth rinse bucket) is not at all uncommon. It would actually perk my interest if I ever saw anyone using more than one bucket during a wash.
 
About a month ago I watched my neighbor pour half a gallon of pb slick and suds in to a bucket then filled the rest with water to wash his moms corolla.After he started I went and showed him the correct amount
 
Never seen the windex done before but I think the worst one I have seen was when someone sprayed there whole truck down with engine degreaser and washed it that way.
 
My dad has a white Trans-Am and his philosophy is why wash it it's just gonna get dirty again, But then again he told me two days ago that he has'nt changed his oil in three years!!

My Dad was notorious for not changing his oil but we made sure to Simoniz the cars 2 times a year.

Sounds exactly like the guy next door to me, he would always see me outside washing my truck, and each time tell me the same thing, why wash it, it's just gonna get dirty again.

Also knew a guy that would use powdered detergent and a brush like you see at the do it yourself wash places. The finish felt like a black board. I would just always say good job buddy. :bigups

I once seen my neighbor wash his very dirty car with a kitchen towel and a bucket of steaming hot water! I watched and he did rinse the rag a few times in the same bucket though. I felt like asking him if he has ever tried car soap, or a wash mitt before. but sometimes it seems that people are stubborn.

oh it was a black Honda accord he was working on or "sanding", I checked it out the next day to find that it was scratched very badly and there were smears and dirt still on the car.

I just don't get it!
