This customer contacted me about cleaning up his boat, we talked about different options for the boat and the customer said it wasn't in to bad condition, so while i was out of town he drops the boat off in front of my shop door. :wall

This is what the boat looked like when i arrived, 23ft Lake Lizard

The whole boat was pressure washed and Grime Reaper was used on the outside and inside, the carpets were sprayed with APC and then pressure washed. The seats were cleaned with APC and Bleach, then treated with 303.

When the owner picked the boat up he still didnt think it was that bad before...

good job! the before was real bad by ANY standards. ***? it wasn't too bad? i hate those kind of customers, they dont want to pay the right price and making you think that it just needs a wipe down with wet towel and vacuum. :eek: noooooooot! :lol

very good job!

Yeah, people with nasty boats always try playing them off as "not too bad". The interior looks good. Did you do anything to the exterior other than a wash?

i didnt touch the exterior, i quoted the guy to do the whole thing he left me a message saying he only wanted to pay $300, when he picked the boat up he complained that i didnt do anything to the outside and picked little things inside. it turns out that he faked the papers and wasnt paying the loan so he got it repoed.......i just smiled

It's hard to tell that it is even the same boat, great job on the interior. Too bad the customer wasn't as appreciative to you, we all know he was very pleased once he left. It is unfortunate that people like that make it bad for others.

Hats off to your hard work, again fantastic job!

Wow great turn-around. Dare I ask what would his definition of "bad condition" be? Totally falling apart? Funny tidbit about the boat being repoed :). I hope the customer's payment cleared before.

yeh i got paid and yes it did clear, i dont like to say bad things about customers but this one was a **** period..............i first told him i could make the boat look like new again, he calls me back and says can you make it look like a 3 year old boat.... i said if i put my name on it i want it done right...anyway he still didnt want to pay so i said ill get the interior looking good...lets just say i wont be dealiing with him again

lol.........

"$500 for a brand new looking boat" -David Purser

"Well how much to for 3 year old looking boat?"- Goober customer

:har::har::lol:chuckle:

Work looks great! Word of advice for ya man. I would watch what you say about customers on here. Many many lurkers on here. You never know who is reading these forums. ;)

Completely agree, after i wrote that i thought idot, as i said i never say anything bad about customers and i have never had any bother before but this one, no more said.....appreciate the advice

Well I'd say it's my fault for saying what I said. Any future customers need to look at the quality if the job you did. That's top of the line stuff at a great price. You weren't complaining at all.

It was me who pointed out that the customer seemed like crap. Sometimes you have to call it how you see it. That doesn't mean you can't do quality work.
