The harder the wax to remove, the longer it last?

And counter to that is S100. Doesn't last & next to impossible to remove if you let it dry (made that mistake once).

kompressornsc- Wonder if you put it on thick? The one time I applied P21S to the whole vehicle before buffing it off it probably sat up for an hour or so and it still came off easily :nixweiss



JuneBUg- Yeah, a too-thick application of RainDance would keep you busy for a while. Ditto with the original Blue Coral...but Blue Coral on (well-prepped) ss black lacquer really was to die for.

Yea but if you let that old simoniz dry you were screwed.

Oh yeah, the old Simoniz stuff had a hideous reputation! My mother never forgot what a PIA it was and how much easier Meg's #16 made waxing when it came out in the '50s.

I just finished polishing my wife Sequoia tonight and topped with IW and let it sit for two hours, it buffed right off.

One of my first attempts at waxing a car was when I was 13, it was 1972 and I used DuPont Rain Dance on my mom's Buick. I put it on so thick, the blue paint was changed to white. I think I lost 10 pounds rubbing that crap off!
