As I sit here tidying up my schedule and focusing on my next business move(s), I realize I have set up another interesting few weeks similar to last year.

Last summer I had a nice run for a bit...

This Spring I proudly present to you what I am considering `The Grind to Detail Fest`.

This Sunday I have a Ford truck coming for interior cleaning and basic exterior. Cross your fingers it`s not one of those unpleasant surprises as it`s the only one coming site unseen. Yikes!
I got a full bottle of PB Enzyme if I need it!

Next week I have a nicer Ford truck which will be given a Poorboy`s treatement of my choice.

After that a brand new hellcat in for PA love.

So that`s all my weekends until Detail Fest (as I`m saving 3/12 for recovery), but I still have weeks of Wednesdays open, haha.

Still trying to finalize schedules on these...

and the ford truck owner wanted to get his wifes yukon detailed as well, so I`m hoping I can fit all three of those vehicles above in as well

I think it`s safe to say I`ll be ready for a vacation in 5 weeks.

Now I hope nobody backs out of their scheduled appointments because I like the way my schedule is looking.

Wish me luck and expect to see lots of pics!

I think you meant to say: "The EPIC Grind to Detail Fest"!

Good luck, and as others have said, looking forward to the writeups on all those details (especially the Raptor)

well the truck which cancelled two weeks ago last minute and rescheduled for today never even called

guess I`m firing that potential customer

working on both of my vehicles instead now

"You`re fired" in my best POTUS Donald Trump voice:)

That would be the single most frustrating aspect of detailing for a living. Still frustrating when doing it part time.

I had a co-worker drop of his truck and I was just going to clean his interior for $50. 5 mins into cleaning out his belongings, his wife stopped by and "needed" the truck. See yah! I didn`t even ask to reschedule.

It has me reconsidering my scheduling for some people when I am a little weary of their commitment. I definitely lost out on at least one other job during both of those weekends.

I could see a local detailer scheduling all day details with his/her competition in the area. How are you thinking about changing scheduling? Down payment?

I was lucky to squeeze in 2 jobs about 1.5weeks ago. Really need winter to end here. Have some stuff lined up for March and April.

Good luck bud.

That is definitely one of the down falls of being a detailer .. people don`t respect your time and often cancel without notice or don`t show up at all. If you try to charge them a no-show fee they will laugh at you :( Not much you can do other than move on ^_^

yea I agree with Poorboy, it`s kind of a hazard of the job and you have to plan for some attrition

I don`t think I could get away with charging people up front but that client offered to pay me in advance so I rescheduled him but didn`t take the money in advance because I really didn`t want that job- I just took it at the time because I didn`t have anything else scheduled. I`m sure that vehicle would have ended up being a disaster scene.

Then you got people that show up, hang around all day making you listen to music you don`t like, and then want a jump for their vehicle when the battery goes dead---LOL
