Thank you to everyone for the compliments
Johnny: Same tint as always (20% on the windows, 35% on the windshield). At the meet, there was HEAVY sun all day which I guess made them appear lighter. When it's overcasted you can't see me driving from standing about 10ft in front of the car...It's like Knight Rider in red :lol
For security, it is quite extensive with sensors, battery backups, extra sirens, etc. I always keep it in heavy parking lot lights and I park right under my window.
hirosh: :rofl
Scott: I have the Cold-Air extension with the bypass valve. I just didn't like it. The wheel wells in Integra's are not very thorough. They expose a lot...The spot where the filter goes for the CAI in my car has slots facing the ground, kind of like a billet grille. I guess its for airflow with the stock setup. On top of this, being lowered 2 inches puts me up close and personal with stuff on the road. Water did not worry me too much but the damn filter always got soo damn clogged with sand and rocks. It was a PITA to remove and clean so I just stay with Short Ram.
I've thought about heavy modifications and as a matter of fact my uncle made fun of me 2 weekends ago (black saab and gold jeep) that I don't have a turbo yet. It just doesn't fit for me. With my girlfriend, appartment, fraternity, school work, lifting, etc, it doesn't leave much time for playing around and constantly keeping up on my car. I just have a nice amount of time to keep it clean and check fluids. The only other mods I can think of doing are a 2.5" Mandrel Bent B-Pipe and adjustable shocks. Other than that, just maintenance.
As far as engine grounding, I think OE is 8 gauge and I went to 4. It felt a bit smoother, like less strain on the engine, but could have been just psychological. I just like the look of the bigger wires.
Yup, no gf posting on OT...I know
tdekany: The appearance mods have taken me over. In my past two vehicles I had pretty extensive stereos. I did many paid installs for locals and made a nice amount of money with my knowledge. The only thing I changed in the teg were the OE speakers to pioneer 3-ways. I contemplated 4 - 8" JL's across the back of my trunk (hugging the back seats) with a MP3 deck and all amped, but didn't get around to paying for it. I doubt it will happen unless a nice deal comes around.
flip: No JDM front for me. I liked it for a while but now everyone has it. I wanted to stay unique even though the WW setup is pretty popular. I went with new paint, shaving, and body matched rims for the uniqueness. I don't think appearance will change much more.
Rob:
1) Stock
2) Motegi MR7
3) Rota Subzero
4) Exel V8
not bad
94-95 GSR's are OBD1, 96-on are OBD2...The 94-95 would be easier to tune. In shopping for a teg, look for a reasonably stock one with ALL of the scheduled maintenance done. Valve adjustments are crucial with these cars.
Thanks again to everyone
