The ever changing Legacy

I think I've tinted everything I want to tint. headlight corners, tail lights, and side mirrors. I think it looks pretty darn good actually. The front corner tint and the tail tint was from Jinsu Power and the mirror signal tint was from Hot Subaru.

This front view has gone through some changes....

Looking good!
While I love the smoked or blacked out headlights, I removed them from my wifes car when she was following me and I noticed that the turn signals were very dim thru the covers. We also needed to remove them at night if you were out on the open road. On our black Talon, they looked great, but weren't too practical.
If the tint you are using is as light restricting as the smoked covers were, you might want to check the turnsignal visibility at night.

Trust me... have done. Here are some comparison pictures with the driver side smoked and the passenger side not smoked. These covers aren't solid tint. There are holes cut in them specifically to let more light from the signals come through.

L7 is a JDM thing. It isn't entirely clear on what the background is. Some say that it is actually LT for the Legacy Turbo. More likely it is L for Legacy and 7 for Peladies, the star that Subaru gets its name from which also has 7 stars, though only 6 are visible to the naked eye.

Another posibility is "L7" used to be a term to describe someone who is "square" (Dobie Gillis reruns). "L7" was used because the two letters make the shape of a square. So I noticed that the "L7" badge layout puts the "L" above the "7", and the shape it makes is the Subaru 4-point star... maybe just coincidence...

It keeps people guessing what my car is. lol It looks like a Scion/Camry/Legacy now. lol Personally I like it. The place I got the overlay from is making one for the steering wheel emblem and the one on the engine cover too.

Since I designed the corner covers I didn't have to pay for those. They sent me the rear covers for free in fact. :) The mirror signal covers cost me 20 bucks, so that wasn't too bad. I don't have any other protective films on the car, although I wish I would have got one for the bumper at least. It's getting a little worn. If I ever have to get it repainted then I am going to have to get one I think. I'll never get anything that will show a line, but the bumper one is subtle enough.

Thanks. :) That blue is outstanding. It changes colors depending on the lighting. Sometimes it looks almost black while other times it is as blue as the sky. Here is the first picture I took of it before tinting the windows or anything. I can't find the original, but I have one I photoshopped some wheels on. The paint is the cool part anyway. lol
