The DA Cutting Pad Show Down

Thanks for the great review Todd ! I just have a couple of questions you may be able to answer. 1. Do you think that the haze that was left behind from the lake country thin wool pad would clean up with just some M205 on a white pad ? 2. Do you think this pad would work well for removing deep etched water spots in glass ? I see this problem a lot in the area I am from. Thanks !

Thank you.

1. Yes.
2. No. You will need specific cutting pads and a glass-cutting compound.

great review todd. i can tell you work very hard at what you do and i personally want to thank you for helping all of us novices as well as experts on what and how to use the myriad ways of polishes and pads to use on our cars. thank you sir

You are so welcome. Thank you!

Todd,

Do you prime the LC MF pads when using M105?

For maximum cut, yes.

You never cease to amaze -and gracious to boot. Thank you sir!

Thank you my friend :)

Just ordered some LC yellow pads. I'm very impressed with the finish for a cutting pad.

Thanks for the very informative review. I will definitely be considering this with my next order. I use the blackfire combo often with my flex.

Your reviews are such a pleasure to read! I find myself going through all the threads you've started, searching for ones I haven't read (like this :))

Thank you for continuing to make new articles in the manner you do. They continue to be epic - in every sense of the word. Just out of curiosity, do you have an index of all your reviews, detailing write-ups, comparisons, etc. somewhere? It would be awesome if there was a central location to be able to read all of your stuff - from Bugatti details to wheel cleaner show downs.

No, but this is a great idea.... Let me see what I can do : ) Thank you for the compliments!

I can get better cut on my Duetto/Rupe's MF cutting pad/compound vs. 3401/PFW/same compound. Does that seem a bit off to you?

No, the Duetto rips! It's hard to say though, so many factors and variables. I have found both do a great job at getting the hard stuff out.
