The Bubba Test : Planning Stage

I plan on abusing my CSL, EXO and PBL coatings on my truck. (there is sufficient clear for any heavy polishing if needed later on)

I plan on driving them through the auto tunnel wash (brushless of course)

I already bought all the care products sold at the Dollar Tree for washing/drying your car- lol- but not sure if I can actually bring myself to use them

The purpose here is to see what actually holds up- on a longevity scale- to Bubba (who we all envision as That guy who knows no better)
why he paid me for the initial detail? I have no idea- lol

Here is a preliminary plan and please feel free to add your suggestions -

Wash every other week at the tunnel auto wash
Wash once a month with Dish soap
park under trees
scrub off bugs with my bare fingers or a really crappy towel with no moisture

once every three or four months bubba will bring me (my) truck for a proper 2bm wash with PBL shampoo as he likes to support the small business guy :)

what are some other things Bubba will do to my truck??

Thanks in advance

-Brandt K.

Oh, and if you want me to bubba test some non coating LSPs on the other side- just let me know what you`re thinking

edit-

Bubba was gifted a few decent towels when he picked up his truck the other day--- does he lose them or use them?

1 cobra ww
2 cobra gold micros (a little tatty)
1 ww glass towel

I`m not sure what you said in all that. I fainted after reading, "...park under trees" - I was already cringing and bordering on dizzy with tunnel washing and dish soap.

the entire premise is to abuse the coating to see how it works for the Bubba`s out there who pay for your detail when they should not be

if CSL is as good as they say- None of this should affect it
this is the most empirical way I can test this stuff

edit- besides- do ya`ll really want look at the same exact beads for years on end? I need to liven up the longevity test

with a 1bm, huh? yea that was the plan for the dish soap washes

Yes 1bm, with a fake sheep skin mitt, like the kind they use at car dealerships. Oh and don`t wash the mitt in between washes, just `rinse` it off.

Dare I say use the mitt on the wheels too, but you can do the wheels last.

My gosh that^^ makes me cringe.

oh no....this thread....it`s making me.....:passout:

you don`t have to follow it--im just offering to provide knowledge that is not out there on this relatively new product- I haven`t seen a swirl on my truck in years, not saying that once I start this I`m not going to be freaking out myself, lol

Bubba uses the same dish towel for wheels and the hood on top of the car. Bubba cleans glass with windex, but if he sees the paint dirty or bird droppings he sprays the paint with windex and wipes with a shop towel.

you`re in luck because I happen to have PBL glass coating going at about 18 months or so right now.

now I guess I will have to buy some windex

He puts them in zip-locks and places them in a drawer only to forget about them.....
