The BOOK, starting a detailing business

The authors name is Eileen and she interviewd me for the same book last year. I had always wondered what came of it then about a month ago I get a box from FedEx and in it are two binder type books from Entrepreneur Magazine. One on detailing and the other on a nail salon or something like that.

I just put the box in the corner and forgot about until I read this thread and looked up a few of the links. I then opened up the box and the package containing the auto detailing book and started reading it and sure enough there are qoutes from Gary, myself and a several others. Very informative and full of great insight, I wish I had read something like this before I started.

The downside to a product l(book) like this is the turn around time of new detailing products and techniques. What was the right way 5 years ago can seem outdated today in some forms.

As for how many of these authors ever owned a successful detailing business? I have no idea, why not ask them? Also, I don't believe the author is coming off as an expert in auto detailing but rather an expert at getting the vital information needed to start up and operate a successful business. Hence her choice in interviewing people in a certain field to get their feedback and insight.

as true as some of that may be.... you'd be surprised how many businesses still use Posix and As400 style mainframes instead of workstation computers..
