The Big One

Most everything came out nice. :D

Not sure how you keep your motovation up for 10 days my friend. Even though this may be one of the nicest car collections in the world, I think I would start :hairpull after 5-7 days. :nixweiss

Great dedication to the craft!

Sorry to vent on your thread Todd, but why is it people seem to have to know how much you made on this venture?? I think that's private info between the owner of the collection and the one detailing.....why does it matter anyways?

Again nice work Todd.:usa

I guess I've been asleep here but how did this all come about? I mean from Florida to Canada...for 65 (and growing) collector cars?

Your sterling reputation is spanning two countries now, and a well deserved one at that.

 That's all I have to say so far Todd! That collection is amazing.

P.S. You forgot to blur a plate on the F40.

Edit: Nevermind about the plate. You fixed it.

Thanks Audi, yes, I saw the plate. Good looking out! And thanks for the awesome words!

WOW thats crazy. You must have been damn tired when everything was done. Amazing work.

It wasn't too bad :D I was able to get 4-6 hours of sleep each night which helped keep me fresh. I feel like I could go on living and not polish another car, but today is my last day off and then I'm booked past the new year..

A M A Z I N G work!! A great collection of cars to work as well, you showed some real skill with the complex areas and some good reserve and judgement on knowing when enough was enough.

Thanks Steel! Every car I do, I'm the student and on this trip I learned a lot. I want to make every car perfect, but the truth is that you have to know the car, the paint, and when to stop.

I can't type anything that would explain how cool that is.

Haha, I can't type anything that would explain how cool that is to hear...

There's no words to describe that collection. Wow!!

I'm sure you were compensated nicely as well ;)

Thanks for the kind words!!!

Are you sure that's one of the 6 original Daytona Coupes?

I'm not sure about the 6 part (I know it was low number) but I'm pretty sure about the Daytona. I never asked the owner about this car, but the mechanic said he bought it privately, paid big money, and it has full documentation.

I would tend to believe him based on the other cars I saw, and the fact he has many one off cars that I had to blur from some of the pictures. I don't think he would own anything but the original..

Thanks Bryan, I'm still a little buffer lagged, but I am ready for tomorrow and beyond. Honestly, I never got bored/tired because each day was a new challange. One night I did look up at him at 7:30 PM and was like, "Thats enough for today, I'm spent." Other than that I just focused on each panel at a time and before I knew it, 10 days where up...

Thanks! This came about because a lot of hard work and a lot of good luck. If you detail the right guys car, they tell all the right people I suppose. All you can do is keep up the good work and treat clients like gold, right?

Fingers crossed, hopefully four countries and 3 continents shortly!

That is just a flabbergasting collection, and some of those cars incredibly unique (like that "E-Type" Fiat :p). Quite an honor to be trusted with that stable. Great work!

Awesome work my friend, looks like your book for the next 10 years, when other owners of great collections see and hear about your master skills. They all going to book you ASAP. Soon you will be on TV with your own show! and enjoying it too. Also you look like a frozen Floridian out of place on that last picture. Always great to see your work......:bow .......Angelo

Exactly. That is how I picked up a few of my high end clients. Because I washed one Lincoln, I picked up a collection of classics myself.

I treat every customer like they know a King....

That is one thing that I love about this job, you never know who will call you, or who knows who...etc...

I read a good book, well, on the last chapter.

It'd called:

Little Black Book of Connections

6.5 Assets for Networking your way to rich relationships

By Jeffrey Gitomer.

I recommend it. It talks more about what was just highlighted..

Amazing, that is all I can say. The quality of work you show is remarkable. Simply the best ever time. As far as the money issue, who gives a s*!t. I would give anything just to touch these car letalone detail them. Wet sanding a 17 million dollar car, haha that is awesome.

Todd - congratulations on completing that unbelievable request for your services. That is amazing work and it looked like the shop conditions made it a little more comfortable (personal mechanic and other helpers included - cool). Thanks for sharing that with us.

I bet it was good to get home!

Do you know how many times I said "Oh My God" the entire time I kept scrolling down?

Seriously, congratulations on that gig. That collection is simply amazing... all those cars under one roof? or several roofs?

Kudos,

Mike

What a great experience, great work
