On detergents and soaps? One minute I was replying to it and then when I submitted my reply it said thread was invalid and it disappeared altogether! Maybe I am going crazy

Well, here is my reply nonetheless for those of you that like to read:

Since I have some background in this (I've created quite a few of my own detergents (nonionic, anionic, and cationic especially) in the lab!), I'll be happy to add to the conversation.

But, instead of typing up a long diatribe, how about some useful links?? :)

This is interesting:

The question was "What is the difference between detergents and soaps?" Some people call laundry cleaner detergent others call it laundry soap. Then comes auto car wash or auto soap, now they are being called shampoos.

Well, here in North Western NJ, we just got another 24 inches of snow dumped on us. I just got in from digging us out, and I must say, I am poopedSleep.

I hope all of my fellow North Easterners here on TID are safe.

I must say, I am ready to ditch the North East and move somewhere warm. Any of you guys in Fla, or So. Cal. want to take in a very tired and cold compadre.:Frosty:

Be safe, and just remember, spring is on it's way:clap::Dancing Dot::hurray::thumbup::D:partaaay2:

im in north jersey . and just got in from snow removel . it sucks.. snow blower broke. had to pick up extra guys for help. the snow is heavy as concrete...... my poor back..

Tell me about it. There was a lot of ice under the snow and the snow blower had a very difficult time.

Give the back a rest!

:cursing:Wow that really bites but i know how you feel i actaully thought i was going to have to wear pants today instead of shorts got kinda cold out this morning. But by the afternoon it warmed up to the 70's that was close .

I can relate - we get major dumpers every few years (worst was 44 inches a number of years ago). We'll get ours in March and April.

Anyway, got to fly into Phily mid-day Sunday and Boston later in the afternoon. Any thoughts on what conditions might be? Are the airports fast at snow removal?

Regards,
GEWB

My wife is a part time travel agent and says that you should be good to go.

Good travels.

the only good thing is i put anice coat of (swissvax) bos on my truck right before allthis dam snow hit. and the snow is sliding off nicely off the paint work:cornut:

swissvax?, you got to go with BFWD and Collinite:thumbup:

That is exactly what I have on my car. I used my arm to wipe off the snow. I started at the roof and with one swipe, the snow slid off the roof, down the back window, and off the trunk. Best recipe for winter protection.

Remind me to yuk it up next time you're sitting in a south Georgia motel room wondering if your house is still there after a hurricane evacuation. I'll bet you really howl until your sides hurt when CA has an earthquake and half of AZ is on fire.
