Bought Leatherique but have not used it, maybe it will be the best for next year:D :D

You bought all that stuff this year? :scared

LOL! Was thinking the same thing! This is "Best of the year" right! Hey, maybe he just got into it! But it did look more like a favorites list. ;)

Quote: Most products and tools do not reach their true potential without the proper techniques and little tricks we share and learn here at Autopia.

In the words of Oscar Wilde, “I wish I’d said that

In addition to the above a PC 7336 (my Black & Decker gave up the ghost) and Microfiber Towels, Waffle Weave drying and Viper as amongst the best brands tried thus far.

Experience unshared; is knowledge wasted…/

Id have to say Mothers Reflectiom great one step , Collinite Insulator great final wax super beading and durability , S100 super show car shine - a little extra edge , M.f. towels just great, their are others but these stand out in my mind.

My top picks from what I've tried this year since getting into the biz.

1. P21S PASTE WAX

2. EIMAN FABRIK SPOT REMOVER

3. P21S GLOSS ENHANCING POLISH

4. P21S GEL WHEEL CLEANER

5. MICROFIBER GLASS CLOTH

My vote is for VM. It's the only product I've ever used that topping with S100 doesn't really improve (visually). VERY easy to apply and remove.

I haven't compared it to #81 yet though.

Gosh, hard to know where to begin, since this is only the second year since I've gotten into zen-detailing and pro-quality products. I spent lots of my big bucks last year and got lucky enough to get some great products and product lines. But I guess I would have to list these for 2003:

* 1Z Plastik Reniger ... OK, I'm probably still not spelling it right. But this is the dangedest product for an easy-on/easy-off thorough cleaner of interior surfaces. Everybody I show it to, ends up placing an order themselves, because the ease-of-use and results are so great.

* Autopia Concours Buffing Towel. This thing has revolutionized my quick-detailing.

* my creepy-crawler seat. Big saver on the lower back and knees ... got it at WalMart for $25 .. and learned about it here on Autopia. Thanks, guys!

On another, but related, note: I guess it's a sign of the season (i.e., days getting shorter and colder) that we're doing threads like this instead of going out there and USING these products. :D

I forgot this but now I remember.

Claybaring is awesome. Probably the only thing that EXCEEDED the hype. I was so skeptical,

"it's a piece of play dough that's going to lift contaminants? Yeah right"

So I tried it on a 10+ year old car for fear of screwing up on mine. The car felt so smooth that I had to convince the person for 10 minutes that I had not waxed the car. Mothers Clay Bar kit is awesome and easy to use.

Also, Klasse Twins rock for smoothness and durability (plus the fact that you can layer it and tell people "Yeah, I'm glazing my car!"

Glad to hear your testimonial, blackmagicgti. I had the exact same experience when I tried clay for the first time last year. :bigups Everybody oughta try clay, if they haven't yet.

Same here. I bought Clay Magic when it was first advertised at the retail level (mid 90's) and was utterly amazed at the results.

I have to add to mine:

1. 1Z Cockpit Premium. I've been looking for this product since the first time I cleaned a dashboard.

2. Woolie + Water 6:1 So simple, and gets such great results on the leather. Thanks Scott for that one!
