the best High-output H7 Bulbs?

I was looking at PIAA they have some amazing lighting systems, and saw they sold H7 bulbs as well. very expensive bulbs, that run upwards of $80 for a pair. http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H7.html

however, i've found them brand new on ebay between $40 to $50.



the ever popular sylvania silverstars run $40 new a pair at local stores but can be had even cheaper on ebay as well.



the PIAA bulbs are very enticing to me right now, and was wondering what everyone thought. also, maybe theres some better companys out there that im missing?, lemme know what you guys think!

But I just got a set of Hella light bulbs from my store for free. They run about $44 and are DEFINITELY better quality than the SilverStars. SS's burned out on me within a few days, and so far the Hella's are definitely brighter, and have a nice hint of blue to them. Leaps and bounds better over the SS.

Silverstars blew out in a few days? Sounds like the bulb was touched for that to happen. I've had my Silverstars for about 2 years now with no issues in my Mustang.

Nope, bulb was handled with a piece of foam padding to ensure skin didn't come in contact with it. Im not saying SilverStars are bad, just I haven't had any luck with them. My friends fogs blew out within a few days as well. So far the Hella's haven't given me any problems, and are noticably brighter than the SilverStars.

GE Nighthawks.



I've had silverstars - definite decrease in output but they are fairly white. I have the Nighthawks in my Ridgeline & they are somewhat whiter than the stock bulbs, but output is so much better. Consumer Reports did a test at the beginning of the year and the Nighthawks were the only bulbs that actually increased output.

Agreed. I have some H7's in my A4 and they greatly brighter than stock. When I ordered them abougt 8 months ago the only places that sold them were overseas but even then I got them for I believe around 34-38 dollars shipped
 
I had the OSRAM Silverstars. They worked good. You have to order them through a place that carries them because they're not normally sold in the USA. Ebay comes to mind.



Now I have OEM HID so no worries. :)
 
Many of us have purchased the OSRAM bulbs thru powerbulbs.com. They are in the UK.



I also found a domestic source...not sure if they're still selling them.
 
I fooled around with bulbs on my last bmw and basically spent a ton of money with little to show for. Some of the bulbs looked cool, but didn't really put more light down on the road. Be careful with some of the PIAA bulbs, if the wattage is too high, you can overheat and melt your headlight assembly!!



I wasn't satisfied until I got the car I have now which has xenons.
