The "Autopian Ratio"

Could it be genetic? My father planted the seed of car care in me when I was young. :nixweiss

Well, it has to start somewhere...it definitely didn't start with MY father.

His backseat is a trash can and he doesn't wash his car very often. He appreciates cars, though.

When I was 8 yrs old I would Simonize my dads car . We lived on a busy street so I couldnt go on the street on the drivers side. I would wash and wax half the car right down the middle. That must of looked funny half the car shinny and half the car dirty. All I could see was the clean side , that made me happy , the fact that the other side was dirty didnt seem to bother my dad. He was not into clean cars

Sounds to me like you need to consider a new job, keeping the cars in Marrietta cleaned!;) Who knows, could be a very lucrative job with all those dirty cars out there.

I DO detail the cars here in Marietta and it IS a very lucrative job market but alas....I am only one man!!:D

I think it depends on when you see the vehicle. I can only clean on weekends and my car sits outisde 24-7 so my car is usually super clean only for a day or two.:(

As a young kid growing up in Hawaii, my dad always tells me to wash his car every weekend because of the salt in the air. He has a 1994 Mazda 626 that he kept clean all these years and it still looks imaculate. I hated washing the car every weekend back then and dusting it off during the week. Funny how things turned up because it's something that I absolutely LOVE doing now. :p

The one thing that really bother me more than just a dirty car is when someone is driving nice performance vehicle but they don't take care of it. There's a guy in my aprtment complex that has a black C5. This is probably the worst looking C5 I have ever seen. I'm always trying to catch the guy when he is outside so I can offer to detail his car FOR FREE. I feel so sorry for this vette. :(
