Yep it rained this morning for like an hour. 3 hours of work on the paint and then it rains. I guess we need the rain though, gotta get more rain to lift water restrictions.
Wehn I started the QD, nice water beads.
Since there was Automotive International paint protection on the car (OEM One-Step and Finishing Wax) I decided to Qd the car with their Wonderwash (QD.) Product "T" www.autoint.com
The product has a consistancy of milk maybe a little thicker like a light cream. It seemed to clog the sprayer a little because I had to use two pumps in order to get oen spray. The smell I wasn't to happy about, it had a generic chemical smell. I would rather have EF Clear Pearl or OG Show Off because of the smell.
It was cloudy at 55 degrees F.
I sprayed one spray per 2 foot by foot section. I took a 100% cotton towel and wiped across the surface. I let it "flash" or sit there for 15-20 seconds. I tehn flipped the towel over and buffed. This process went along really quickly. A real 5 minute detail for the paint. Maybe 10 minutes to QD the car, clean the glass, and wipe down the dash and tires.
There was no streaking on the paint and it was left like after it was detailed yesterday. I give this product the thumbs up if your nose can stand the smell for those few minutes.
Ah what the heck, why not throw on a coat of OG Blitz Wax. I applied it the car and let it haze for 10-15 minutes. I applied another coat of TW tire gel while the Blitz was hazing over.
I removed the OG Blitz with a cotton towel, oh my it left some streaks here and there, probably because of the weather it was only 55 degrees. I think the Blitz would have performed better if it was a little warmer. I used the Wonderwash on the car again after the Blitz. Came out nice and the difference with and without the Blitz was minimal, maybe a little redder, but not noticable by the average Joe.
The time spent today on detailing, about an hour.
