Terry Schiavo

Some people might not like the decision that Michael Schiavo made , but is was his decision to make. It is to his credit that he did what he thought best in an extremely difficult situation, when he could easily have shirked his responsibility.

Duh, yeah your'e right spilchy. I did quote something from them. You'll have to excuse me as I have been to so many different links and articles that I sometimes can't think straight. Thanks for pointing this out. I have something else to research now hey?

I'm kind of surprised this thread I started took off like it did. What this shows me is the importance of this issue with people, and america as a whole. This can be a good thing. It's good that america is concerened about the quality of life and talking about life and death issues. We could be talking about other things or issues such as the Michael Jackson case, other cases, or other issues, but we keep coming back to the Terry Schiavo case.

While what I wrote earlier might have sounded harsh, I was voicing my opinion and how I felt. I've said it in the beginning I respect all of your views. All I ask is you respect mine in return, which I believe you have. This is an area for some of us that we're going to have to agree to disagree, but let's not forget why we keep coming back to this site. Detailing.

You forgot to capitalize "America" twice in paragraph two. :p

Healthy, civil debate is good. That's why we start kids off early in 6th grade in debate teams. It keeps the mind active and keeps the person current in the goings-on of the world around him.

Now, something else has tragically happened- Mitch Hedburg has died.

There were the15 people that died from the HS shooting last week in Minnesota.

Then there are the folks who died in the oil rig explosion.

Also, Frank Perdue died today.

Don't forget Johnny Cochran. OJ better keeps his nose clean.

If the casket fits, you must put Johnny Cochran into it!

What is arrogant (and scary) is the legislative branch getting involved on a personal level for a single individual (most likely for political purposes as was shown by that internal Republican document from Rep. Tom Delay.)

Spilchy,

To set the record straight, the supposed memo from DeLay turned out to be a falsified document from the Democratic National Committee.

The Democrats are trying to use this situation to take down DeLay because he has been so effective in Congress.

Tom Delay said that when the Pope passes he will call for an immediate Congressional investigaton of the Catholic Church for not taking extraordinary efforts to keep him alive - such as demanding a miracle.
