Tech session at the shine shop

We got all the e mails, my wife is getting some additional information to send out to you all. At this point I believe we have 4 signed up

Mike. I'd love to come but it's an 8 hour round trip without traffic and weather.

You are an amazing detailer and your heart is as big as your shop. Thanks for opening up your shop to help others learn.

If I can wiggle away over night I'd be in but my work schedule has me all over and I guess I'm lucky the wife wants me around on weekends.

Hi everyone! This is Layna - Mike's wife. I am going to try to help Mike out with coordinating the get together. If you are interested please email me directly at [email protected] with your contact information so that I can send everyone pertinent information as 30 Jan gets closer. Name, email, phone etc. as well as where you are coming from. It will also be helpful if you would let us know what exactly you are interested in learning more about? What level are you at now? Are you a complete novice wanting to learn from the basics of a proper wash through to the polishing phases or are you all more interested in getting right to the polishing? Are you a professional looking to go a little farther? With only one day to do this in we don't want to rush, but we also don't want to skip over the main thing you are interested in finding out more about! Also, will you be coming into Baltimore Friday evening to save an early morning long drive? We have a fairly new Hampton Inn and a Hilton Garden Inn about 5 minutes from us - my reason for asking is that if we have 5 or 6 interested in getting rooms Friday night I can go down there and ask about booking a block of rooms at a better rate - it can't hurt to ask, the worse they can say is no! Once I know more about what you are all looking to take away from this gathering I can try to get a syllabus type thing together and send it to all of you to make sure that you will be happy with what we try to do that day. We very much look forward to meeting you all - thanks!

Hi - Layna again. I just read through all of these posts and please feel free to join in especially if you are a total newbie or a weekend warrior wanting to learn more! Mike loves to teach people how to PROPERLY take care of their vehicles and we both feel it is extremely satisfying to help someone to get started at a new skill whether you are doing this just for personal enjoyment or maybe with an eye to taking it farther at some point - everyone has to start somewhere and to start out correctly is half of the battle!

We have set the date of January 30th, snow date of February 7th. The class will be limited to 12 people so we have adequate room for hands on experience. Rod Kraft , Meguiars national paint finishing consultant will be the instructor.
This is for both beginners and experienced people.
Please e mail us at [email protected] with your info and we will keep a list and provide you additional information.
We are looking forward to it!
Mike , do you have all 12 slots filled yet.
I would like to go BUT don't want to take a space until the week prior.
We just listed our house for sale. So IF it sells quickly I have no idea when the move will occur.
Keep me on the "tentative list" please.

There will be a casual classroom session, followed by a lot of hands on . We are bringing in a few hoods to try everything. E mail me your contact info and we will be sending out more inf in the next week or two

Really a cool thing you're doing.

We have at this time filled all the slots for this session, we hope to make this a regular event at a couple of venues. For those coming you will get an e mail with details
thanks !

I had a really great time meeting you and Lanya. I really want to thank you again for the last minute invite. You guys put together a really nice and informative tech session. I want to also thank Rod Kraft and Eric Leonard for sharing some great knowledge and insight. It was really nice seeing Daren and Keith again, and very nice to meet the others in attendance. I had a fantastic time.

Mike and Lanya, you guys have a really nice home, shop and some really great pets too. I absolutely loved Aston Martin!! Everyone was super nice. I am very grateful. TD

Thanks Dave! We had a great time meeting all of you - it's so nice to be able to 'put a face' on someone that you 'speak' to all the time via the internet! Aston Martin was passed out before you guys all got to your cars to leave - he may be up and moving by morning!

Hey Mike
Great training class today. Rod Craft from Meguairs was a great instructor. The hands on training was really well planned out. Thanks again Mike and Layla.

I also had a GREAT time at the class today. Rod Kraft is a great instructor. I was so happy I went. Mike and Layna were also excellent hosts. And Layna makes AMAZING food. Overall just a great time with other detailers passionate about learning more. Just seemed like a big happy family. Just an awesome way to spend a Saturday. Even the dog was awesome. Thanks to Eric Leonard also. I will quit rambling, but cant say enough good about the event.

Mike, if you decide to hold a class on interiors, be sure to let me know....thanks again,
