TDS Readings

I have considered it but there are issues with storing the water long term, and algae is a huge one of them.

An ozone generator would prevent algae. Ozone is more effective than chlorine at killing algae.

What would be cheaper per gallon? CR Spotless or ozone generation?

That's a good question. The initial investment in an ozone generator would be far more expensive, but after that, all you really have to pay is electricity to run it. I believe that it is cheaper in the long run to use ozone instead of chlorine for polls, for example. Still, ozone won't eliminate all of the TDS, if any, so a CR spotless should give better results. An ozone generator involves aquarium type air diffuser tubes that bubble ozone from the bottom of the tank to the top. With a cover on it, I would think that it would trap the ozone and thus consume less. Even if covered, if the ozone output is enough, there is no way that algae could grow even in very hot weather.
