Did I see him buffing over the molding too :nixweiss

If he did, wont it tear up the 3M blue tape and maybe burned the molding(thin paint)?

Nah, the tape isn't that fragile. There's a limit to what you can subject it to, but generally it'll withstand the polishing just fine.
