Taking the Leap

Hello everyone, finally taking the leap into mobile detailing. Been detailing part time for the past 5 years, had a shop for 2 years in Germany but now back in the states and ready to get started. Just traded one of my motorcycles for a trailer with a tank, pump, pressure washer and generator... Got big plans, so will take any advice, I can always learn. Thanks in advance and it feels good to be here. What Do You Think Of The Logo????

I like the logo.

Only advice I can give, is.... Give your customers more than they expect.........
and ENJOY YOURSELF. If you can't have a good time doing it, it becomes "work"

Where you located?
 
I'm in Panama City, Fl wife got stationed at Tyndall AFB...It's nothing like the look on a customers face when they see the work put in on there cars Love it.

Florida seems to be one of the best places to make some serious money doing this. I have to admit Im jealous of the weather and amount of high end cars down there. My best advise is to spend every free minute you have to spare learning about what products and equipment are out there, what others are using with good results, and getting a good system down to operate as efficiently as possible. Time = money, and time is gained by working smart. Interior and exterior checklists are a good idea as well. Concourse.John posted some really good ones one time. If I can find them Ill post the links for you. Also, check out all of Todd's How To's because a person can learn a lot from them. Good luck :)
 
Thanks for the Info well definitely check them out ASAP. That checklist is a good idea, its nothing like finishing up and realizing u missed something.
 
Thanks Nathan for finding the links. I'll add I have used them to log times to get a baseline for estimates. Clean, average, dirty. I have an inspection rating I plug in the areas 1,2,3 and it crosses over to those times.
I'll add these were based to help when having help so I don't have to babysit.

Thought I had covered a lot, but I see there is still a lot out there to be learned. Well put all this new found info to good use
