Taking black to another level

EGAD!!! $200... WOW... If this guy knows what he is doing (and presumably he does since you were impressed by his work) IMMEDIATELY step away from the keyboard and make an appointment with him before he comes to his senses...

NO product will make your paint look as good as removing the OP and then properly compounding/finishing the job right...

+1

Though that price would worry me though as it typically runs $1000-$1500.

Then again, you won't have much clear left to work with....

OK fair enough. So now I'm having a three step method on the paint yay more work lol.

Which pad do you recommend with 3M?

There is a blue Ultrafina pad that works great with it. You have to remember that UF will only remove *light* holograms, you can't typically go from a compound to UF and expect it to remove compounding swirls. You have to use enough product so there is some splatter on the adjacent panels (don't worry, it wipes right off) and you spread it over the panel at 1000 rpms, then bump the speed to 1800-2000 rpms and use enough pressure to lightly compress the pad for 2-3 slow, 50% overlapping passes, then back down to 1000 rpms for another couple of passes. Typically you are looking at 90-120 seconds per panel with UF.

My thoughts exactly but he said he saw this guys wetsanding finsihed product??

That is why for that price, if he has seen the guys work it is a STEAL!!

For black I would stick with Zaino Z5p. I would just prep it better with some Menzerna PO85RD and then re-apply your Zaino and it should look unbelievable.

Sorry, i'm not too familiar with the menz product codes. PO85RD is the final polish, right?
