I actually detailed this 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo about a month ago, but when it was raining by the time I finished and all I was able to get were a couple pics in the garage. Anyway, since the city had torn up the street in front of the owner's house, he drove his F250 and let the Cayenne sit while the street was repaved. The detail consisted of Optimum Polish using a Meguiars polishing pad, Clearkote's Vanilla Moose using a Meguiars polishing pad and Carnauba Moose Wax using a Meguiars finishing pad. The Cayenne was washed using Optimum's version of Quick and Easy Wash and followed by Clearkote's Quikshine prior to the pictures.

And yes, I went back over the grill after I took the pics. ;)

=============

1996 GMC Sonoma. Last detailed in March. It was a horrible mess back then. Only 26,500 miles but it had been sitting under live oaks for about 2 years. It was inherited by the current owner, he knows it was never waxed and probably never washed. Hideous bird dookie etchings in the hood and roof that probably won't even respond well to wetsanding. I had compounded it, polished it and topped with Glare. Truck sits outside 24/7, probably been washed 2-3 times since the March detail. Glare was holding up well on the sides, some beading, some pooling on the hood, dead on the roof. Glare is supposed to last up to 5 years but at 8 months, was mostly dead on the horizontal surfaces. Oh well. Still looked way better than the first time I saw it.

This time, I used Optimum Polish with a green Lite Cut Propel pad, and topped with Collinite 845 Insulator Wax. Probably be at least spring before I wax it again, should be a good test for 845's legendary durability. The truck isn't driven much but it isn't garaged at all.

2004 Lexus GS300. First time I've done this car. Lots of scuffs on the driver's side but still in mostly decent condition.

This is after washing. As you can see, not too bad. The scuffs don't really show though.

This is after polishing with Optimum Polish and Vanilla Moose, both with Meguiars polishing pads and finishing with Carnauba Moose and a Meguiars finishing pad. I tried to make sure the first after shot is as close as possible to the before shot for comparison. Depth was vastly improved, not sure how visible it is in the pictures though.

2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe. Second time I've done this car. Death itself didn't stop this detail. The owner's husband's father died over the weekend and she and her husband had to travel out of state. Rather than have to reschedule (I would have understood, honestly!) she opted to leave the remote for their garage door with a neighbor and a check and the keys in the car. I last used Klasse AIO and NXT Paste on it back in mid-May. Still looked really good, light beading, the paint was more smooth that slick. This time, I again used AIO with a Meguiars polishing pad and opted to seal the paint with Jeff's Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett. I think this car came out about as wet and glossy as anything I've ever done.

Yeah, I know the pics are a touch dark in some of the shots. Without the owner being there, I didn't want to move it around too much.

Man, what a cool driveway on that last one! Is that some sort of custom stone? Or is it just concrete pavers that look that way?

EDIT: I guess it's real stone after looking at it further, because there are too many different sizes.

How do you like the Optimum's QEW compared to the other?

It works like the regular QEW does when you add some QD to it. Optimum's version contains a polymer that definitely adds some slickness. Cleaning power seems similar.

Perfect Scott :xyxthumbs ....but.....no C-Jett yet?

I have used it on a couple of bikes and love it. I just havent been able to get pics.

Still running my endurance test on the "donut" laying in the back yard (14 days now)

Awesome details.

I really appreciate your photography too.

The G35 looks dripping wet but I really like the two identical shots of the GS before and after. It really shows what a big difference you made.

My best durability with NXT is over AIO. The G35 is driven daily, just not far. She is a teacher at a high school that is about 2 miles away. It does sit outside all day, garaged at night. Been a pretty dry year, don't know if more rain would have affected how AIO/NXT held up.

Yeah, I was really happy how nice it turned out with Acrylic Jett. :)

:xyxthumbs :woohoo: :xyxthumbs ...Behold the power of Scott + JW on that G35...really great work :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs ....
