Sylvania Silverstars????

I'm hoping someone can tell me where I can get these at a great price. I've read lots of good comments about them and want to give them a try...just not at $55.00.
 
Yeah.... I bought mine at Autozone a month ago. They do look great. Alot better than stock. I paid $19.95 ea. for them. Coolblues are nice too.

Silverstars are nice, but pretty over priced. I have them in my car but I did a little conversion on the 9005 high beam bulbs and put them in the low beam housing. ;) That is the only way they are worth the money IMO. Otherwise just stick with the Cool Blues.



Its kind of ironic... I bought some bulbs once called Arctic White and they turned out to be blue as blue could be. I bought Cool Blues and they turned out to be whiter than I could have imagined. lol :rolleyes: Who names these things?? :lol
 
I have them and I love them, I paid about $45 for the pair. IMO it's worth it. No other bulb will give you a brighter, white light like the Silverstars (HIDs aside), and still operate at cool temps. I love em.
 
I have cool blues on my explorer and silverstars on my accord. The silverstars are so much whiter and a better light than the cool blues. Another plus about the silverstars is that it's a quality bulb since it's made by sylvania, you never know what you get with the white import bulbs.

I have on both my F150 and 4Runner and I love em. They are definitely noticeable with the high beam on. I think I paid like $37.00 a pair from Truckperformance.com and used a $10.00 rebate.
 
I have the Sylvastars on my 1993 Audi S4 and they work great, especially since the car already has projector lenses. not quite HID but they're nice, and it was about 40 bucks for the pair at Autozone.

I beg to differ. You always should know what to expect from the white "import" bulbs. ;) I don't know anyone who has said anything postitive about them. Everybody I've talked to says they suck and burn out in 3 months. Going with Silverstars or Cool Blues are the way to go if you want white light that lasts. I guess if you want purple headlights that are useless when it gets dark and when it rains then you can always shop around.... :p
 
I tried the silverstars and piaas. I found a website testing with photos the silverstars, piaas and roadmax. After reading it, I bought the Roadmax Metal White Xenon Headlight Bulbs #9007. They are way better than the other 2. Made in Germany, they even have a metal base instead of the plastic on the others. And the best part, $19.95 a pair. emai lhas been sent. . .curious about it. I've had the silverstars in for about 6 months and no probs with them so far. .
 
I have GE bright white bulbs. They're not real expensive, which is probably why my friend had to replace them after 6 months. I've had them in and had no problem, they're not blue at all, just whiter and a little brighter. I actually went 85k miles on one of the stock bulbs (the other I replaced, I forget which kind, either sylvania or phillips). We'll see how they do.
 
I had Sylvania Silverstars in my WRX for a few months, and they were definitely brighter than stock. However, they do not even come close to the amount of light that comes out through my HID projectors.



I mean, it is literally like night and day.
