Switching to Zaino, should I...

I do live in Canada, Vancouver BC actually (which has the mildest weather north of the 49th).

I have already outfitted myself with the complete Zaino lineup and I think my wife would kill me if I bought a new lineup.

From reading your comments I am thinking maybe using Collinite 845 as a "winter wax" applied on top of the Zaino. This sound like a good idea?

BTW - both my vehicles are daily driven, garage kept at home, outside during the day at work.

845 should work fine over Z. It will not work as well the other way around, bonding issues.

Like I mentioned before, though; *If* you have trouble with bugs (like I do) then it may be very beneficial to use 845 on front leading edges. That is what I do for my vehicles when using some of the boutique stuff I have. The "show" waxes don't always stop bug jerky form adhering to the paint on the Honda during summer months.

I have never tried the Z stuff, so maybe it will be great.

Just finished doing my car with Zaino. No 845 yet, as I need to order it.

If I applied a coat of 845 on top of the Zaino, when I go to reapply the Zaino would it bond? I am kind of thinking there may be an issue as the 845 would be in the way, but I know very very little.

You would be correct, Z likes a clean surface to bond to. With 845 on there it would probably last 4-6 months.

I've invested in too many boutique products to remember them all, and stopped when I found Zaino. It meets most of my needs, so I'm a happy camper. I still use other products from 3M, Menzerna, Lake Country, so I'm not a 100% zainoafile. LOL.

Here's what I like about zaino:

* Easy to use, does not stain.

* Looks great (to my eyes)

* Easy to maintain (road contaminants don't stick to the paint, easy clean up)

*Above average durability. Really a big plus for me. The shine and tight beading protection last.

*Great Value. A little goes a long way.

*Outstanding customer service and support.

I used to spend several hours on my vehicles each month, and will admit that I enjoyed it, and liked trying out different products. When the kids got older, priorities changed, I didn't have as much time, etc.... Zaino fit the bill.

If you have good washing techniques, and keep marring and swirls down to a minimum it's easy to keep a just detailed looking finish for a long time.
