i just looked at the prices on swissvax what the hell!!! does it wax the car for ya? just curious if anyone is using it? comments on it? maybe if i were cleaning lambos on a daily basis i might use a 500.00 wax but why waste the money other wise?
 
its all about personal preference: alot of people use Swissvax as their goto applications, but others are happy with cheaper product. Megs 16 and 26 are probably the best "cheap" wax. There are sooooo many out there, theres none that are better than the other because it comes down to opinions...



i would spend my money elsewhere...
 
It's just preference, like with wine, beer, cologne, jeans, etc. I can't see paying more than $30 for a pair of jean, but I know people who spend $200. They see a difference, I don't.
 
Never used it but have seen cars with various Swissvax waxes used on them. They looked great but for the price I can't justify it. Maybe if I was getting paid too detail cars then it might be a little easier to justify it.



90% of the end result is the prep work. So I got hard time spending more then about $50 for wax. Just so many waxes for under $50 that gives the car a stunning look.
 
yea i totally understand the preference thing, i was just making sure there wasnt a wax that would apply and remove itself... lol
 
I own a lot of carnuba waxes and SW Concorso which I bought on E bay for $90 does a nice job. I am not saying its worth $235 just saying that against most of the other waxes(maybe except Fuzion) it has nice durability. I also bought Zymol Concourse(bought for $110 on E bay)also has durability,and a nice finish.
 
i feel if you prep the paint well and use a standard mid price range paste wax of somewhat repectable quality brand, results should be virtually un-noticeable on the same car ...



i would say results are at leas 70% process and 30% products ..



maybe 65-35 ..

I used to say the same thing until I bought some high dollar waxes. A couple of coats of Vintage on a car does look really really amazing. Worth every penny.

Same here.



The ratio IMO is really 85% paint condition, and (really my opinion) 7-1/2 % for products used in prep and wax, and 7-1/2 % for the effort and execution.



There are a lot of great looking waxes out there, so its best to compare between brands. The exotic waxes are expensive, but to some they do reveal attributes that distinguish their qualities against other lsps.
