applied concorso after cleaner fluid today...

applied it with hand...left it for 10minutes...

the wax dried fast ( due to high humidity and temp here)

removing the wax is a pain in the ***...i used swissvax's blue micropolish cloths

the dried wax is hard as hell to buff off..and its flaking when i rub against it... im afraid this might scratch my paint..

anyone have the same experience?

and my paint is hazing now..didnt even expose them to heat...

I believe you have applied it WAY TOO THICK. I applied the wax using a foam applicator and managed to apply a very thin layer. When it dried you should only see a very thin haze forming and the residue can be wiped off very easily with a MF towel.

I will suggest you wash down your car with car shampoo and than go over the car with a QD (eg, QuikShine), I believe that should pretty much take care of the hazing.

hi bro gen2...we've met...at the last bmw meetup... i was the one with the black 5er

thanks for the advice

When I use concorso I do the whole car then immediately start buffing off where I started. Unlike Vintage or Concours I don't find Concorso needs time to "set" or whatever it is they do. Durability doesn't seem to be effected. And like Gen2 said, nice and thin. :)

Picus,

I'm still waiting on my sample of Vintage from you. Hahaha.

ok..i admit i used wayyy too much.... used up almost half the container for one detail... :nervous:

so will QD remove the excess way and haze? which QD is best for this.. field glaze or SV quick finish

or do i need to redo it again with cleaner fluid and wax again..

OUCH! That is one expensive detail. :wow:

I almost fell off my chair when you mentioned you used up almost half the container for one detail :faint: I have done about 4-5 cars (including a MPV) with the concorso already and I think I have used less than 1/5 tub.

If you have the field glaze or SV quick finish, you can try using them to get rid of the haze. Sometimes you might need to do a few rounds before the haze will totally disappear. If after a few round of QD wipe down the haze still refuse to go away than you can consider redoing it with the cleaner fluid but this time finish off with a THIN layer of wax :) .
