Swiffer Duster

Have any of you ever used this on the interior? I got one tha other day from my wife and I love the way it works. It can pick up any dust without leaving any lint. It also can bend to get into tight spaces. I think you can pick them up at the grocery store for not too much. I would post a link to them, but I am not sure about the forum rules since I know they are not a sponser.

I keep a small refill pack of the Swiffers in my truck. They are great for quick interior wipedowns. I think I have also read on DC where someone uses them to wipe down under the hood in dusty conditions.

They used to make one that was specifically branded for Automotive use. I love my swiffer towels. Since I've got a black dash, dust is an issue. My swiffer towels are great at dusting off a surface that is already basically clean and really doesn't need any more protectant on it. The California Dash Duster is a smooth tool too, but its not as easy to keep in the arm rest or glove box. I love my swiffer towels. :bigups

I use one religiously to dust down my engine, I'd say after every 50 miles or so :bigups
Bill, this one really cracked me up. If I followed that procedure with my van, I would have dusted the engine 2,860 times.:D

i drive 50 miles in a day!!! thats a lot of swiffer towels. maybe ill give it a try tomorrow.

LOL, well I guess what I really mean is at least 50 miles, I'd do it before it gets well into the hundreds though, then you may well just have to degrease/apc and hose down

One important thing to note: even if you use one of those Swiffer dusters on the engine as often as I would, you ought to get more than one use out of one. I'd say maybe around three or so of course depending on the size of your engine, how many nooks and crannies in it and if you use a non dust attracting dressing on the hoses/plastic components. It's really an ideal, quick maintenance routine for me. Beats dragging out the shop vac like I often use to do in the past.
