SUV roof tips...

Anyone have any tips about how to reach the roof tops of large SUV's ? Im going back for the 3rd time to do a Escalade (Black no less), and I'll always struggle reaching the center with my step stool.....(2 steper)

Maybe its as easy as getting a better mouse trap ?

On my own car, I open the doors step up and hold on the the handle inside then wash, close the door and rinse off. On someone elses car, I would only use a step ladder/stool.



Maybe look into a larger one? :nixweiss

I have a 6 foot stepladder that I use to reach the roof areas of SUV's. I wrap some old terry towels around any possible contact points between the ladder and the vehicle body and duct tape them in place.



Remember that your center of gravity will change as you lean over to do the roof area...take it from me, falling off the ladder sucks! :doh

If Jason see's this thread i'm sure he'll have some pointers. He probably had trouble getting the roof on large sedans

I need help here too. I cannot bring a ladder with me I do not have a way of transporting it.
