Surf City Product Discussion

I checked them out on AG and after 7 pages of BS on the AG Forum - I didn't see any reviews. Looks like another pricey boutique brand from AG, probably works fine just not for the guy that details for dollars.

I usually find out firsthand about any products that are of interest, so I went directly to the site. Huntington Beach is just a couple hours away from me. SC appears to have quite a collection of cars for sure! Im going to bite the bullet on this one, and find out what this stuff is all about. Well labeled, bottled, presented, I didnt find any BS on there (homepage) site, attractively priced.

The only thing I did notice: Wheres the "polishes?"

Mike, I thought the same thing (CG's?). But if there statement is valid about hiring a chemist, as well as a marketing company, my mind would certainly be put to ease. Not that CG's is a terrible manufacturer, I just think there may be a need for something a little different. I'll have to wait and see I guess. Im looking for some small qty's to satisfy my thirst, and with a lot of detailing ahead of me, this appears to be a great time to try a new product.

Pretty funny that they’re just a few miles northwest of Meguiar’s, southeast of ProtectAll and are practically next door to Mothers.

What is it about Orange County and wax?

PC.

I would think one of the big mixers in the area may be doing the mixing and bottling...their chemist may just be formulating the products....some of the products do seem alike to one of the big ones in Ca. ..with all the Nano talk....

I think i would wait on SC for awhile till a good amount of folks do some post's and see how durable this product is. I think we all got a good amount of bucks invested in detailing supplies and my wallet is saying STOP for awhile............just my 2 cents........Angelo

I just got 6 different products to try out. I'll let you know how it goes. Probably won't have time to test them till the weekend.

Uh-oh...I think my wallet's gonna take another hit. Shameful!

(Just visited their site. The "SCG Tour" section is very impressive. If their car care products are as nice as their shop, then we may have another great option here.)

Designed, AND manufactured by SCG themselves.............I spoke with them today. Very nice folks on the phone. I have some products arriving probably Friday, hoping for tomorrow though, being as there two hours from me.......

I specificaly asked if the products were manufactured by a certain company, and they said no designed, AND manufactured by SCG themselves.

Good to know that they make their own products, just have to wait on more post's and durability on their products. Thanks Pat!

Patrick..thats good to know they make it in house....there was never any mention of it so I assumed it was by a mixer to their specs...my mistake...

I look forward to see your reviews on it since some products seem interesting....

Thanks for clearing it up....

AL
