Surf City Pacific Blue

I recently pulled the trigger and purchased some Pacific Blue car wash. I was running low on Duragloss 901 which is an excellent product, but I wanted to give the Surf City wash a shot. I also purchased Road Grime destroyer as well.

Does it do a good job at restoring beading like DG 901 or Zaino Z7? I've found the 901 and Z7 to be excellent at restoring beading after a car is filthy. I used Z7 almost exclusively for years before trying the DG. I just wanted to try some new products plus I feel the Z7 is somewhat overpriced.

I'm not done with 901 or Z7 in any event!

Hi!

Its much like Poorboys Slick and Suds and is a pretty decent shampoo. You will get the benefits of 90X etc too. IIRC its a 1oz of Pacific Blue to 1 oz of water so it wont last long in a 16oz bottle.

The Road Grime remover is pretty sweet as well!

It works pretty well for me - I use it pretty much exclusively. It seems to be ok with maintaining beading (it doesn't remove LSP), but I ususally use Z8 after washing anyway.

Why not just use it and form an opinion? :think2

I never get when people ask about a product AFTER buying it, wanting to know what it's like instead of just using it and finding out.

Pacific Blue is what I use if I don't intend to wax or spray wax after, mainly on the gf's car. The 1oz to 1oz thing is utter nonsense. This stuff is SUPER concentrated. They recommend a few capfuls for most buckets. I think you can get away with a capful or 2 in most cases and not be too light on the stuff.

It smells excellent as well, the lubricity is great, and I don't think it's too strong personally. Very foamy with good suds. It'll do a good job cleaning, but its not like horribly bad stuff.

My favorite part about it is the wax in it, the wax in it is pretty significant, and I've found that it really helps with beading a lot, and keep your actual wax in good shape.

I can't say I'd recommend this to someone who likes to foamgun, the downside with this product is its relatively pricey, I only use it when I know that the wax portion of it will make up for not putting some other wax on it after.

Try it out, I bet you'll like it a lot.

Thank you for the helpful and informative reply as opposed to the other replies in this thread.

Perhaps he was referring to your 1 oz to 1 oz dilution ratio...perhaps you meant 1 oz to 1 gal?

Opps i missed that twice :rofl

I meant 1OZ per US Gallon. Same as DG 90X so 16 OZ bottles dont last too long.
