Supreme Clean: 2003 Honda Accord

This car was in average condition paint wise, little to no swirling on the solver paint because the owner has only taken it to the car wash once since she has owned it. There were some rust spots that we were able to take out on he panels with just clay and some light tar on the lower door panels and back quarter panels.



Process:

-Wash with Sonus Shampoo.

-Clay with Sonus Clay

-Clean engine with Autoglym

-Wheels cleaned with Sonus Rim Brite

-Wheel wells cleaned with a 10:1 APC and scrubbed

-scratches treated with SFX-1 on an Orange DAS pad.

-Entire car polished with SFX-2 on a White DAS pad.

-Interior vacuumed and carpets cleaned with 303 and extracted with warm water and shop vac

-All interior Plastics wiped with 10:1 APC and then treated with Sonus.

-Engine and wheel wells treated with Sonus Motor and Trim Kote.

-Waxed with PS216





Thoughts:

I am unhappy with SFX-1 and with the Sonus Green Clay. It takes ALOT of muscle to remove even simple tar spots.

Nice job. sonus clay is a fine clay and needs more work to remove heavier tar.The good thing is that Sonus clay will not remove any wax : )

but doesn't wax protect the paint from becoming contaminated? So.. there would be no point in claying over wax..

According my experience sometimes you have to.Happened to me.my car was sealed and waxed and some fresh road paint stuck in my door and i had to clay it because it wasn't came out with simple washing.i don't know if i did something wrong but i tried also QD but only after claying have been completely removed.
 
You have the ISO speed set way high on your camera.. that or your camera just has the noisiest sensor ever. Set it to its lowest ISO.. outdoors in daylight like that, you shouldn't need a high ISO to get decent shutter speeds.
