What kind of prep do you do prior to the application of the sealant and Natty's?

The shine comes form the prep not necessarily from the LSP.

Some of it is all in photo taking skills. Those amazing reflection shots that a few members are famous for are no doubt great details, but photo skills help out as well.

my process is:
First i was with No rinse wash (i think thats what its called)
then i clay using either adams or megs ligh tduty clay using adams detaikl spray as the lube
then i use the pb pro polish
finally i put on the sealent then the wasx as mentioned.

Well it sounds like you have a sound regimen with good products. I assume that this is product applied with a PC. IIRC you have recently purchased a PC, did you not?

I sure did and more then love the thing. Its a god sent lol. But yes i do use a pc to apply eveything using the correct pads. (poslihs for polshing fnisihing fors sealent) howver i do aplly nattys with an adams mf aplicator pad as its so hard to get nattys onto the pc. After reading the above posts im starting to think that its probley not that im not doing the job properly its just that i cant take a good picture lol. I dunno i guees im gonna have to be unsatifiesd till coat 3 of nattys lol

Like cwcad said, the shine depends on the prep work. It might also be a little harder for you to make your paint "pop" like others here because of the color itself. You may get some depth and wetness, but other colors like black, red, and blue will get that shine you are looking for a little more easily. Just keep at it, and always look to improve your process to help your final result.

cwcad's got it.

It isn't about the LSP, but the prep.

The LSP gives clarity and shine, but the prep work makes the clear coat flawless, or as close as possible.

That's your money time: prep.

3 coats of Z2Pro.
Topped with Z8.

Never been polished. Never been touched with a buffer.

No doubt about that.

I think the other big thing that nobody has mentioned yet is the color. White and gray are tow hard colors to get to shine big time. Jngrbrds Subie is dark blue, other ones that look great are darker colors. Silver is hard to work with to get a great shine out of it. It won't be as impressive as a darker color. But your steps look decent so I'm guessing that you have done all that you can with the shine other than using Zaino, Wolfgang Sealant or maybe Souveran.

You might try using a glaze on the car before going to the sealant....this helps to bring some bling to the car......its what I do on mine
