Super Shine Power Shine (liquid Wax)

Well, you know... a Lightning is a bigger than a mustang... :D

Yeah, but he was about 70% finished before I even started!

How fast can you wash a vehicle in? Do you alway use the QEW or soap and hose?

With QEW, I can wash most cars in about 20 minutes and most SUVs in about 30. Add 10 to 20 minutes if the vehicles are very filthy or it is cold and humid. Maybe another 10 minutes to wipe down the door jams and clean the wheels & tires.

Conventional washing takes me about 45-60 minutes for cars and 60-75 for SUVs (included wheels and door jams), so using QEW saves me on average 30 minutes per vehicle.

Thanks for the info.

OK OK, Enough Dana bashing... Intel, the 30% I had left was the hood, front bumper and the hard tonneau cover.. so its not quite like he said although I would have to give him the upper hand on this.. He did do a great job. The Mustang looks absolutely incredible.. ALTHOUGH, he did borrow my PC to get it there.. See Scott, you have made me tell everyone that you actually did a car and didnt do it all by hand... hehehe

Actually the 'Stang hasnt looked this good in years.. about 5 to be exact.. its just been sitting in the garage..

Scott,,,, yudaman...

Those painted tonneau covers have about as much surface area as that mustang!

:D

yeah but in his defens, they are a big, flat, horizontal area that goes pretty quick..

If you havent looked at it, the 'Stang is in the gallery section and in the abay section for sale.. he did do a great job.. let me know what you think..

Thanks

But he used a PC  :D

Big difference between a PC and a rotary though!

I may break down and buy a Porter Cable because a lot of the newer paints (especially Ford and GM's) are very hard and it takes some real work to get scratches out of them. Benz still has nice soft paint though!

gentelmen return to the subject at hand.so according to rick the powershine lasts one month. eh? how does it clean embedded dirt and not stip off protectant?

I posed this question to Rick about 2 weeks ago. Here is his response:

My questions are:

Is this a topper or a polish? The letter description and the web site description are somewhat contradictory. The letter states that it is a topper for protectants like Zaino,Klasse, and P21S. The website states that it is a two-in-one product (polish and protectant). Which is the case?

I applied a coat on my Blackfire protected P21S topped black Z28 finish. It looks absolutely fabulous!!! The product did not feel or act like a polish but a non-abrasive, solvent-free glaze. If this is the case you have a winner. There have been many people like myself looking for a glaze-like (filling and gloss enhancement) product that just adds that extra "POP" on top of the existing protectant. This appears to be the product. I need to know the answers to the above question in order state this.

Thanks again for the generous samples and hope to hear from you soon about my questions. If I do not hear from you before the 1st...

Happy New Years!!!

Edwin

Edwin,

Again, thanks for trying our products. You are right about the web page and

it does sound a bit confusing. Originally, the Power Shine was going to be

called "Extreme Gloss Glaze and Polish" but our graphic artist shortened it

so it would fit on the bottle. We are currently revising the web description

to more accuratley describe this products function. It does perform cleaning

functions as well, but not in the tradtional sense. Usually, cleaners perform

almost as a wax or polymer "stripper", cleaning everything off right down to

the paint. Power Shine however can clean polymers and carnaubas without

stripping them. A good example of this is on a white car which has Zaino or

carnauba sometimes you can see dirt imbedded in the protectant and you might

have to start over to correct it. But Power Shine can clean it without

stripping it and having to start over. The reason we know this works is we

were getting super tight water beads on a white Zaino'd car. We used Power

Shine over the Zaino and the beads became normal but about a month later

after the Power Shine wore off, the beads returned to being super tight

again, so we know the Zaino is still on there. We subsequently tested it on

other products and the results were the same. It_ emulsified any dirt while

enhancing the shine without any degredation to the protection of what ever

system we were using.

I hope this helps. .

Thanks, Rick

Anybody have any updates on this stuff? I applied some to my wife's car about 2 weeks after coating it with BF II and #26. This was about a month ago. It has been rough weather here, and her car is outside all the time. When I washed her car on Sunday (two days ago), it clearly had no protection as water just ran down it. I was a little bit surprised at that. I am wondering if the Power Shine took out the rest of the protection and then gave up the ghost. I applied PS again to 1/2 the car and the roof and trunk. I then put MPPP on the other half and half of the hood. I'm just curious to see what kind of beading and durability differences I notice.

The Power Shine did leave a nice reflection and lots of slickness on the car when I put it on after the #26. I haven't noticed much difference between the MPPP and PS sides of the car yet, though.

I'd love to hear any other updates!

I'm just a newbie on this forum, but I'd like to add my 2 c.... Although it may seem redundant, I've always put a coat of Power Shine over the Souveran on my WRX. It just seems (to me anyway) to 'brighten' and enhance the Platinum Silver color..And I never fail to get comments on how it brings out the metallic in the paint...

On a side note: When I order PS, I always ask for their "creme" formula, which is much easier to control, IMHO

This is a proud day for me. Yesterday, I timed myself while washing my car with QEW and it took 15 minutes. Of course, it took me another 15-20 minutes to clean the wheels and wipe the door/trunk jams so I still lose to Scott when it comes to total amount of time. But I can still say that I beat Scottwax's avg yesterday for total time spent on the body alone. :D

asjk07-I can do my own car start to finish (including door jams and wheels) in about 20-25 minutes...but Accords aren't that big! My Dad and I washed his Lexus ES300 with QEW in 5 minutes. He washed, I followed with a terry cloth and a microfiber towel. Wheels and door jams took less than 10 more (nice open 5 spoke wheels!).
