Super oxidized single stage red 4Runner

Hey dudes-

I am new to polishing so I did this as a practice car just to develop more skill and see what was possible with my new G110. This was not a full detail, I primarily just focused on the paint. Being single stage I had to wash pads often but I got a little system down so it wasn't a big deal. This is the 2nd car I have polished and all in all I am happy with the result. And I must admit that I love meg's #26. It smells like bananas and leaves the paint looking shiny and wet. :)

Time to take a nap.

Great job. You definitely picked the right brand of products.. Meguiars products always cut thru oxidation the best (for me at least)

Will SS paint stay looking this nice if you keep it up with an LSP or will it need regular paint correction once it has already oxidized once?

Pretty cool that you pretty much get a full correction on your 2nd time out. Night and day--it looks great.

Smart man to tape off that trim too. I know I left a few trim stains when I first started out.

Awesome results, how did you like the UC and SX? nice for being able to purchase OTC!

Thanks! UC and SX work great, and yes OTC, $8 a piece at Walmart. :xyxthumbs

I can't wait to try some M105 and M205 as well.

Looks great!

If you were one of my friends, Id make fun of you for wearing hearing protection with the G110. And then wonder why I cant hear well :rofl

I really enjoy seeing these SS corrections

Impressive! Looks like a different vehicle in the "after" shots! How long did the job take you to complete?

LOL!! What about the paint transfer on the tape from the pad hitting it during polishing? I guess blue tape turns red when it gets wet? Too funny!

Tell your friend thank you for the compliment, the wet look is exactly what I was going for. And thanks for the laugh. :)
