Super Cheap Foam Gun Soap

I've been using NXT in my foam gun since I bought it, and it works well, but then thought I'd try some KIT wash w/ Carnauba that I had sitting in the garage. Holy suds!! Way beter than the NXT and super cheap. Autozone has it on special (50% more free; 96oz. for $3.99). The lubricity of this wash is fantastic as well. I know some don't like to use wash & wax products, but I've been using it for years without any ill effects. Give it a try.:)

Could you post up a foam pic?

Also what dilution are you using in the container and on the sprayer?

Thanks!

I'll try to post a pic tomorrow. It was a bit chilly here today, so no playing.:(

I did the comparison undiluted, and at the largest orifice on the sprayer with both products.

kit wash and wax is an excellent shampoo.i use it frequently it suds nice and they last through the entire wash..

This is a pic of one quick pass of the foam gun using Kit Wash & Wax w/ Carnauba. Diluted 1:1 on setting 4. Didn't want to post a pic where I doused the same area with the foam for 5 minutes as that's misleading. I DID however have lubricating suds throughout the whole wash and didn't even need my wash bucket. As well, after dousing the whole car enough to cover it, I had a wiper cowl FULL of slippery suds and suds on the ground for more than an hour later. Super happy with this stuff.

I picked up 2 jugs (96 oz ea) of the Kit wash for $3.99 ea at Autozone yesterday. I also picked up 2 of the 64oz Eagle One wash as they had it buy one get one free ( mail in rebate) at Autozone. I found NXT at Meijers 64oz for $5.99 and bought 1 of those. I am going to try all 3 in my foamgun and report back ASAP. I am set on soap for a while. Anybody here try the
Blue Eagle One?

I absolutely LOVE the KIT car wash soap. Ive been using it for sometime now and it is by far my favorite. Very slippery, smells fantastic, and leaves the paint extremely wet looking. I never believed a car soap would leave behind such a nice gloss without polishing/waxing it but it truly leaves behind that look. Im not good at noticing a difference in product appearances but the first time I used this soap I instantly saw a HUGE difference from the other soaps I have used.

I used the Kit Wash with Carnauba today in my foamgun mixed 1:1. It did a good job with lubricity and cleaning. Although when drying I noticed a film like smearing and it did disappear while rubbing with the WW towel. It seemed pretty slick and shiny after drying and I used Poorboys Spray and Wipe while
drying as I have been recently to reduce any marring from anything left on the paint. Foam was good at the middle setting on the brass pin and better t the next to highest setting. I will play with mixture ratio a little and see
if this reduces the film like stuff when drying. I have several soaps to try and report on and will do so in this thread ASAP.

Cool, keep us posted. That's all I've been using since I ran out of my NXT and I love it. I was thinking of buying like 4 more jugs. That stuf doesn't go bad does it? :)

I have a question.
The kit shampoo contains wax right, is their any issues using a sealant after you wash with this soap.
Just curios because i do use it on my car but i already have a layer of UPP topped with Natty's Blue..

Joe P - Not sure. Im guessing there is only a small amount of wax. I think your probably safe but its hard to tell for sure.

Well I got up early this morning while the sun was hiding behind the house and broke out the kit wash and wax. I put about 2 oz in the foam gun (32 oz bottle) and then filled the rest with water. I used the 2nd setting from the right. The soap foamed quite well, and was very slick to wash with. I will write up a formal review at a later time. Bottom line, its a great wash for 4 bucks!
