Super Car sightings in my travels

Well currently I'm working as a mirror installer Gyms, dance studios etc... I travel between ohio-main-and maryland. Last week I was in manhatten when I spotted a red Tesla Roadster Electic car on the back of a flatbed. Other sightings are a Audi R8 in New Jersey and Maryland, Bentley, Nice silver Ferrari up the road from me last month.

Nice! :xyxthumbs: Your post brought back memories for me. When I was growing up and much too young to drive yet, I used to sit in the back of my parents' car with a desk planner book whenever we'd travel on larger highways like the Jersey Turnpike or Parkway and if I saw a dream car like a Ferrari or a Rolls, I'd record it on that date and at the end of the month and then year, I'd tally up the number of sightings. I used to see a fair amount of them.It was the start of my anal, car crazy habits to develop later in life. :chuckle: This practice had to come to an end once I started driving lest I'd find myself in a nasty accident :o but yeah, always something cool to look forward to and I can spot them from rather far away.

That's awesome. I bet you wish you had those notes now. What fun memories.

My dad was always a car guy so I started early, too. We used to have competitions on who could 'name that car' first. Ahh, the memories. My dad was always into British cars and back in the day you would always flash lights or honk at other Brit car drivers. It was like a secret club and made you feel really special. We met a lot of new friends that way.

Speaking of seeing neat cars in places, I was at a St. Louis Cardinal baseball game over the weekend and as we were walking up the stairs of the stadium heading for our seats I looked down from far above and spotted a small private parking area for about 10 cars within the stadium. There was a Aston Martin Vantage, a Land Rover Sport, a Bentley Continental, a Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe...WOW, a Porsche Carrera and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and a few 'lesser' cars. That's a lot of bucks parked all together. I just wish I knew who owned them!!

You brought back another memory for me. When I was a teenager, I was into tennis and every year my folks would take me to the US Open. I was also becoming more and more car crazy and in those pre-high security days you could walk around anywhere basically. I spotted the VIP parking lot there and it was the first time I saw a Bentley and a Rolls Royce in person. Every year there was an assortment of cars in that lot: Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, etc so that was as much of a treat as the tennis was. One of the last years I was there I even spotted and approached Stefan Edberg and didn't comment to him about his killer backhand or serves, LOL, I complimented him on his Bimmer :o :D

That's cool. And he probably thought that was refreshing to hear!

I was in London this past week. In Mayfair, a wealthy neighborhood I saw all of these within a 5 minute cab ride:

2 Veyrons

Zonda

3 Aston Martins

1 Rolls Royce

2 Ferraris

1 Porsche GT3

Mayfair is insanely wealthy.

Understatement! Never seen even one Veyron or Zonda in person.

Sounds similar to the Corvette lore, "Save the Wave"

Of course since you're talking about British cars, I have to ask, was the flashing of lights or honking of the horn intentional, or did it just happen on its own?
