Suggest a good book

I just finished, By Order of the President by Griffin. A good read, long by my standards. It took less than a month, which is good for me. I usually only start and never finish long books.

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson.

Funny how I got into reading Hunter: Started listning to the Clash, which led me to the Beat poets & authors (Kerouac, Ginsberg, Burroughs), who hung out with Neal Cassidy...who drove the FURTHER bus for Kesey. Kesey use to hang out with the Hell's Angels-who Hunter S. Thompson was writing a book about (and got stomped for).

[Note that Accumulator has a Ralph Steadman poster from the initial release of HST's The Curse of Lono ("when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro") hanging on the wall of his office :D ]

Heh heh, HST's stuff can be entertaining, but don't-try-this-at-home-kids ;) Reading F&L at an impressionable age can, uhm, lead to distractions :o

On the various Beat authors, rereading them later in life was interesting, different perspective than I had when younger. Wonder how younger people view their stuff today
