Subaru BRZ new car prep

This car was purchased earlier this month and will be washed only 3 times a year, maybe 4. Naturally the LSP of choice was Opti Coat.

The paint was in pretty good shape, but there were some RIDS around the car.

Process:

Dawn wash

Degreaser on tires/wheel wells

Nano towel to decontaminate

HD POLISH with green HD pad

OPTI COAT

3D tire shine

Everything was coated on the outside.

It rained most of the day so I didn't bother with befores, obviously the car looked very good before I started.

This is after HD POLISH

Nice, Ive got a silver one coming to me in january for a few spots of correction, then polishing, then 22PLE!

Not too much real estate on these things! How is the paint? I havent done one yet

Thanks both!

Al - I used a gg pc.

Eric - I'v done 3 of this color, a dark blue, one gray, the others I don't recall, but all are very detailer friendly. You will enjoy working on this paint.

Awesome work and pics Thomas, that car looks incredibly glossy. I agree that these cars are very stress-free to work on, but I have found the red ones to be very sticky. Aside from that, they correct easily and finish without hassle.

Thank you very much Mike! Also, thank you for telling us about the red colors. I haven't seen one in person, only your details. :)

Love this color! Great work as usual Thomas.

What are you doing after polisihing to prep the surface for OC if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks David and Mark!

I use a pretty strong concentration on IPA.

I like those cars! If I was just young, single, better looking....

Great work man, looks like you got that coating thing down to a science.
