Strongest Wheel Cleaner?

Who makes the strongest wheel cleaner where you can truly spray and wash off? Even if it's dangerous to paint etc. I need to put something in my detailing arsenal that will address this, thanks.

The strongest wheel cleaners contain Hyroflouric and or Ammonium Bi-flouride acid. Both can be very dangerous to your health. Although not exactly spray and rinse, I would recommend Top of the Line's Wheel Wash. Pretty strong stuff that may require some agitation with heavy built up brake dust. It does not contain any of the very dangerous acids mentioned above.

P21s wheel gel (actually i use the s100 since it is cheaper and the same product ;) ) is by far the best thing I have ever used on seriously dirty wheels. It is completely safe for all wheels. I just did a volvo with some nasty wheels that had not been cleaned in months. Spray on the wheel gel, let sit for a min and rinse off.

i use the megs wheel brightener....i am not huffing the stuff, so I really dont see a health risk....cant be worse than breathing orange county or LA county air.....

Meguiar's Wheel Brightener is so strong that it rusts brake rotors and other brake components. Be careful with this stuff as your customer may not be happy with rusted drums. If the rotors get rusted, they would get cleaned up after a couple of miles of driving as hitting the brakes would start to clean them a bit.

Not saying the Meg's product isn't strong, nor am I trying to flame anyone, but I don't think this is a good gauge to judge how strong a product is. I use a VERY mild water based product that I make even more mild by dilluting it 50/50 with water, and it still rusts rotors temporarily.

Guys, I don't care what product you select, when you're dealing with (severely) neglected wheels, nothing is spray/rinse. It's not happening.

Yes, Meg's WB is extremely potent and is an excellent wheel cleaner when one is aware of the associated health risks.

IME, the P21S wheel cleaners are the best thing out there when price is not considered.

Again, weekly cleaning = e-z cleaning. Recovering trashed wheels is a different discussion. :)

I waxed my wheels with 845 and the BMW brake dust came off like butter. Not to mention my wheels were beading afterwards.

I think i will try prime strong on my wheels too.

Never knew there was an S100 version of the P21s wheel cleaner. Are those sold at Harley dealerships as well?

the .5L containers of the S100 product are usually around $10. I've never seen a larger size. The P21S has been available in 5L containers, but it's now around $90 for that size. :(

Thanks for the replies, sounds like I'm giving Megs a shot. I do some detailing that's not my cars and sometimes I get wheels that haven't been cleaned for a year and would like to have an option. Has anyone used both Poorboys and Megs: would like to know which is better of the two? I like p21s wheel cleaner, but it's not the kind of aggresive that I'm looking for.

In terms of aggressiveness: Wheel Wash then Poorboy's Spray & Rinse / Meguiar's Wheel Brightener. Strong products that should be used with care!

I've used 4Star Wheel Gel and it works very nicely, tiny bit expensive.
