Strange observations

First of all is S100 and P21S the same exact thing? Now on to what I find very strange. Everybody here seem's to like topping synthetics with a carnuba to give it depth and a wet look instead of the plastic look. Well I have tried topping Z2 and reflections and NXT with S100 and I can not see a difference at all. Period, nodda nothing. Why is this? I am frustrated because I feel like I am doing something wrong because everybody seems to give rave reviews on doing the topping thing. I have done it on black, navy blue metallic on my 99 SS camaro and raging ruby pearl on my race car. SO ***?????????? ahhhhhh I am frustrated!

Dont worry, be happy ! We all have our own ways of viewing the same things. Some people see subtle nuances, while others view the same thing and see glaring differences, or no difference at all. It is all in the eye of the beholder. Now the really complicated thing is that you can also be quite right...depending on what you do, there may actually not be a difference. Do not stress... if it looks good to you, then its all good !

Try something different for a (#16 or #26) topper and compare that ! Hey ! Try the new Z8 for a topper, if that doesnt look different then, hmmmm.... I dont know !:nixweiss

ProStreetCamaro, I know what you mean. Some toppers can be *so* subtle as to make no (visible) difference. Different lighting may show up a difference. Sometimes one has to train oneself before you can tell the difference. (That's not a criticism of you, btw).

Try this...put down a sealant on a whole door, lay some tape vertically halfway across the door, then top one half with S100. Be sure to wipe off vertically near the tape so as not to smear it across to the other side. After removing the tape, again wipe vertically very carefully so as to leave as sharp a distinction as possible.

Stand back and assess. :up
