Storing a car

Up until now I've had a heated garage to store my car in for the winter but now I'm forced to use an unheated garage. I live in Wisconsin so is the cold weather going to cause problems for my car? If so it's time to sell the car so please share your experiences.

Nah, I don't think the cold will cause any problems unless the temp changes enough to cause condensation. I'd just pull the battery and take the usual "inactive car precautions".

I've stored cars in unheated garages and it went fine. I sure wouldn't sell the car over it.

I also live in Wisconsin and store a vehicle in an unheated garage. I put down PVC floor mats to keep any moisture from coming up through the concrete. The temps get to near freezing in the garage and the winter air in WI is usually pretty dry. I don't remove the battery as that would cause issues with my security systems and radio but I do plug in the "Battery Tender" to float the battery.

I live in NH and the winter can get mighty cold here as well. I keep a full tank of gas with some fuel stabilizer and I keep the battery on a trickle charger. I have had NO problems at all. I also keep the car covered just to keep the dust off. Other than that I dont do anything unusual and the car stays just fine.
