There is no cure!
well i really do like this product. its easy to use and it leaves a good finish on my tires. btut. yes there is a but. i seem to get little drops of overspray all over and i mean all over my car. very hard to tell from far but noticeable when standing next to it. also its been a while since ive used it but i do remember it slinging a bit. having to buff off after a drive. is there any way i couldve avoided it with this product. everyone raves about it but i seem to find negatives...

i have heard from a memeber dont remember which one of the boards that part of the slinging that we get if from water hiding in the crack in between the tire and lip of the rim that slings away while car is in motion. they say to make sure the tire is bone dry...

this is just rambling but what ive been doing lately when going to wax or do a full detail to the car is to wash the car. let it sit for an hour or more or if you need to go somewhere drive to it to let the water get blown away and then go back home and quick detail it. this allows the tires on my car to fully dry completely and lets the dressing go on the tire easier and stay on there....

oh well im on my x-mas job so im pretty bored so im gonna reply to a couple posts. see ya'

It sounds like your idea to drive the car would work if you aren't going to do a complete detail. I use Meguiars Endurance Tire Gel (high gloss version) and have found that letting it set for 10-15 minutes and then using a terry cloth towel to buff the tire (especially around the tread edges and any ribbing on the sidewall). After buffing the tire with the cloth, it is left looking just right (not too glossy, not to dull) and I don't have any visible sling on my white car after driving.

I believe that Stoner's More Shine Less Time comes in a aerosol can. This is the source of the overspray that you find along your wheelwells and on the lowe bodypanels after applying the products. I tried Meguiar's tire shine in an aerosol can and hated it. It was innefective at covering the tire and it was impossible to keep the product completely off the wheel or lower body panels. I would switch to a product in gel form or pick up some Eagle 1 tire swipes (about $2 for 2 at any Pep Boys, Wal Mart, etc.) and apply the Stoner's MSLT to the swipes, and then to the tire. Eagle 1 Tire swipes have to be one of the most useful products I've found in a while.

I get the same thing when I use it. I don't think it is water in the tires cause I get it even i I use it without washing the car, like if I just want a quick tire shine before going out. I think the best thing to do is make sure the tires are perfectly cleaned and dried and let it sit a while after you apply it. I usually apply the tire dressing while letting the final product sit on the paint.
