Stoner's Invisible Glass.........in spray bottle!!

I was perusing my local Pep Boy's and to my delight I saw that Stoner's has released a spray bottle of Invisible Glass. I didn't pick one up today, but I'll try and get one within the next few days to compare to the aerosol version. They have the same price btw.

awesome! I've never been that big of a fan of the aerosol stuff - it streaks for me. I've been using eagle one 20/20.

Awesome! Their glass cleaner was the first I ever bought. I have never liked aresol cans though. I always thought about buing a 5 gallon thing and splitting it up with others. Mabye ill go back to their product now. Thanks for the heads up.

I also noticed Eagle One is selling 20/20 in an aerosol can now. I seen it at Autozone. You can get IG or 20/20 in spray bottles or aerosol now.

Aerosol Containers

A danger from fire from these containers is now recognized and many mfg are getting away from this type of packaging (a good thing) :up Eagle One??

Quote: A note from Shalom Tsaroom- Head, Arson Investigation Unit Israel Police, indicating that aerosol containers holding a mixture of hydrocarbons had been a popular device used by terrorists for the past several years, highlighted the potential for disaster from this source.

A number of respondents gave examples of explosions which occurred when large numbers of insecticides and propellants were released in close proximity to pilot lights, specifically from heaters. It was noted that warnings on labels were not read and/or were misunderstood. In the case of the release of multiple cans, each containing around 35% propane, isobutane and butane, near any naked flame or spark, an extremely dangerous situation obviously exists.

Hmm.. two other locally available glass cleaners I can readily think of might have an issue then :Sprayway and Zep ( from Home Depot) not to mention many others available in other hardware stores and loads of private label auto part store brand varieties.

If motion is going to be made to phase out aerosol glass cleaner it sounds like it's going to be a big one. Maybe it will fall under the whole VOC reformulation process going on.

I called Eagle One Customer Service and asked about the change to an aerosol. They said their research found that the majority of consumers prefer an aerosol to the spray bottle that is why they have released 20/20 in an aerosol. It's brand new and just recently hit the shelfs. It looks like not all companys are getting away from aerosols some like eagle one are going to them.

This motion is news to Eagle One.

Yeah, I would've thought it was a non issue until I read this thread. I think it really comes down to manufacturer preference. FWIW, an aerosol can really provide some extra cleaning power to an extra dirty surface as a first cleaning step. One could follow with a fresh mf and water:alcohol or a non aerosol cleaner as the final touches.

Gave the detailingdirect.com site a try and just ordered a 5 gal pail of IG for 43.70, using a 5.00 off coupon that I won on the site and the 5 gal pails have free shipping! Many thanks Perry for the website info! That averages out to 1.12 bucks per 16 oz can
