Stocking up!

Ive had good luck out of the turtle wax tire wax, on my michelin ltx ms tires. I also think, that if a tire has raised white letters, alot of cooling fins, or just a bunch of stuff on the sidewalls, any dressing has a hard time staying.

I like the Turtle Wax Tire Wax, myself. I picked it up originally to use on my winter tires rather than using the more expensive 303, the local Target has it for just under $7.00 You seem to have a lot of control over the amount of shine depending on how long it sits before buffing and how many coats you apply. It works good in the fender wells too. I have watched it closely in the initial use of it and have not found it to sling or run. I like the fact that it is a cream instead of a gel or spray.

You can get more shine than 303 without foregoing UV protection by using Vinylex. I've seen it at several auto parts stores.</blockquote>

If you can find vinylex locally, Thats a good option. I cant find it locally, but that is all I use on my tires. I dislike overly shiny tires. I find that vinylex imparts a perfect "healthy glow". I have used 303 as well, but like it for the inside and the vinylex on the tires! The vinylex is just a tad shinier.

Hope that helps.

All Volvo dealers will have Vinylex, this is what they offer to Volvo owners as part of the car care products they carry. Maybe you have a dealer in your area.

nope..no volvo dealers real close. its a hour drive to the mercedes dealership for me to get my car serviced. I just order it in quanity and stock up. Thanks for the reccomendation!

These have been some really great/helpful responses. :xyxthumbs

Clean Dean - Thanks especially for that photo of the Tire Wax, greatly appreciated. It's nice to see a photo of how it should perform before I actually use it, sort of gives me a basis to go on.

As always, you guys are the best. :D

<strong class='bbc'>I am going to see if I can find some Turtle wax tire gel. [/b]</blockquote>Check NAPA

Don't you want the Turtle Wax Tire Wax? Not the Tire Gel?? The Tire Gel is loaded with silicone, and I believe that the Tire Wax is not.

I'm surprised no one mentioned OG ERV Exterior Rubber

and Vinyl treatment.

I've tried many and keep coming back to ERV.

This is unbuffed.....I apply it heavy, let dry, and then buff. The result is a satin glossy black shine, a bit tamer than what you see in this pic........

So I went to got stock up on some stuff, and i thought i would be fine because its still snowing here, but no, everything is GONE! OMG!. So im just wonder, this is kinda like a poll, do you stock up when the weather gets nice, in the winter, or do you already have so much stuff that you will be ready for a detailing Apocalypse :D.

Have a good one!

Where do you go to stock up? What were you looking for?

It's a little different for me in Texas because we continued to work through the winter. But typically I stock up on stuff when there is a sale going on. Other than that, it depends how the business account is looking, if it's looking good than I'll get stocked up on more stuff than usual and buy some new product that I have been wanting to try.

I just buy when I need product. Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy at will and have to wait until I get a job that requires something that I need.

I normally buy things in gallons or 5 gallon buckets such as car soap, dressings, apc, things I know I use everyday. Sometimes ill buy just to buy if its new or I haven't tried something yet. Ends up being cheaper sometimes.

It depends on your detailing business on how much you need to stock up on. If your just doing your own vehicle then I don't see stocking like those folks on that TV program where they really stock up! But get what you need to last awhile and don't forget our specials that we run here at PAC.
